Of course, not following ideals that are not Chinese is not the
problem. It is following ideals that are Western, while claiming
to follow only Chinese ideals.

More incompetence by Eurocentrist Xi:
HTML https://www.reuters.com/world/china/china-stops-foreign-adoptions-its-children-after-three-decades-2024-09-06/
China will no longer send children overseas for adoption,
the government said, overturning a more than three-decade rule
that was rooted in its once strict one-child policy.
More than 160,000 Chinese children have been adopted by families
across the world since 1992, when China first opened its doors
to international adoption.
Every good Deng-era policy will be undone by Xi.
On Thursday, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mao Ning said
the Chinese government had adjusted its cross-border adoption
policy to be "in line" with international trends.
What is this supposed to mean, I wonder? Answer:
China's move to halt international adoptions comes after
the Netherlands in May banned its citizens from adopting
children from foreign countries. In Denmark, people will no
longer be able to adopt children from abroad after the only
adoption agency said it was stopping operations.
This is why we call him Eurocentrist Xi.

Macron Urges China to Stop North Korea From Fighting Ukraine
French President Emmanuel Macron urged China to prevent
North Korea from joining Russia's war against Ukraine, warning
that if China doesn't act, NATO may become involved in Southeast
Asia. Macron made the comments at the Shangri-la defense summit
in Singapore, where he also condemned "revisionist countries"
that seek to impose "spheres of coercion" and called for a fresh
alliance between Europe and Asia.
Facing down dictatorship: Macron calls for united Europe-Asia
front
French President Emmanuel Macron has called on countries
in Europe and Asia to form a united front against the growing
aggression of major powers, France 24 reports.
French President Emmanuel Macron made his remarks at the
Shangri-La Dialogue, Asia’s premier annual defense and security
conference, held in Singapore. His speech came amid Russia’s
continued resistance to diplomatic pressure to agree to a
ceasefire in Ukraine, and growing concerns among capitals over
Beijing’s increasing assertiveness toward Taiwan and in the
South China Sea.
Macron urged the international community to unite in the face of
countries seeking to seize territories and resources.
"We have a challenge of revisionist countries that want to
impose - under the name of spheres of influence - spheres of
coercion," the president said.
Macron’s address followed his tour of Vietnam, Indonesia, and
Singapore, during which he positioned France as a reliable
alternative for the region caught between Washington and
Beijing.
He called on leaders at the conference to "build a positive new
alliance between Europe and Asia, based on our common norms, on
our common principles."
"Our shared responsibility is to ensure with others that our
countries are not collateral victims of the imbalances linked to
the choices made by the superpowers," he added.
He also cautioned Asian leaders against viewing the war in
Ukraine as a distant conflict that does not concern them.
"If we consider that Russia could be allowed to take a part of
the territory of Ukraine without any restriction, without any
constraint, without any reaction of the global order, how would
you phrase what could happen in Taiwan?" he asked.
Last week, President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation
with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
They discussed, among other things, Russia’s war against
Ukraine.
Recently, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian
commented on the possibility of a truce between Ukraine and
Russia, stating that Beijing "supports all efforts aimed at
peace."
I agree that North Korea should not be fighting for Russia, but
I wish China had stopped North Korea on its own initiative prior
to prompting by any EU country. (Better still would be if North
Korea never started fighting for Russia to begin with, which
China could have ensured by itself invading Manchuria as soon as
Russia invaded Ukraine). Now even if North Korea stops, it will
be credited to EU leadership. This is what you get with
Eurocentrist Xi in charge.
I do not object to improved China-EU relations so long as: 1)
the common objective is to destroy Russia; 2) Operation Gaddafi
is allowed to proceed across the EU. Of course, Eurocentrist Xi
wants neither 1) nor 2). Instead, he thinks (what Orban told him
to think) that by building more infrastructure in countries from
which many people are currently trying to get into the EU, fewer
people from those countries will want to relocate to the EU in
the future, and some currently who have already relocated the EU
may even move back to the countries from which they fled, the
overall effect being to halt and even reverse Operation Gaddafi.
Once again, my conclusion is that there is no hope on this front
at least until Eurocentrist Xi is gone and his "New China"
nonsense is abandoned.

China bristles at Macron linking Ukraine defence to Taiwan
threats
SINGAPORE (Reuters) -China on Saturday criticised as a
"double standard" attempts to link the defence of Ukraine with
the need to protect Taiwan from a Chinese invasion - a thinly
veiled reference to a speech by French President Emmanuel Macron
in Singapore on Friday night.
As part of a broader address on the risks of division between
China and the United States, Macron told the Shangri-La Dialogue
defence meeting that if Russia was allowed to take any part of
Ukraine without constraint then "what could happen in Taiwan?".
In a Facebook post, China's embassy in Singapore said that
comparing the Taiwan issue with the Ukraine issue is
"unacceptable".
"The two are different in nature and not comparable at all," the
post said, saying that Taiwan was entirely an internal affair
for China.
"If one tries to denounce a 'double standard' with a double
standard, the only result we can get is still a double
standard," the post said.
The embassy post did not mention Macron directly but it was
accompanied by a photo of him talking at the event.
Beijing has previously dispatched defence ministers and other
senior military officials to the annual meeting, which ends
Sunday, but this year sent a relatively low-level delegation of
military academics.
China views democratically-governed Taiwan as its own territory
and has stepped up military and political pressure to assert
those claims, including increasing the intensity of war games,
saying the island is one of its provinces with no right to be
called a state.
Taiwan's government rejects Beijing's sovereignty claims, saying
only the island's people can decide their future.
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told the gathering on
Saturday that China posed an "imminent" threat and any attempt
to conquer Taiwan "would result in devastating consequences for
the Indo-Pacific and the world".
Regional diplomats said that Macron's comments were far from
isolated during the freewheeling, informal meeting and risks of
a Russian victory emboldening a Chinese invasion of Taiwan had
at times surfaced in sideline discussions.
"The message from many backing Ukraine is that the line must be
held if a message is to be sent to China," said one East Asian
envoy.
More and more commenters are understanding Eurocentrist Xi is
the problem and are becoming nostalgic for pre-Xi times:
I would have thought that by now tge Chinese would have
learned not to trust the Europeans.

Imagine if Hu Jintao was in power, and would get all the
neighbouring countries to the table to get an amicable
territorial solution to the "South China Sea", would keep a
smaller military and open up it's market to that local
group.
While Hu is being mentioned, I also want to point out:
HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hu_Jintao
Under Hu's leadership, China continued its style of
developmental diplomacy which had been adopted under Deng
Xiaoping and continued by Jiang Zemin.[46][17]
...
Hu sought to develop China's relationship with Japan, which he
visited in 2008.[52]
...
During the 2008 Russo-Georgian war, China opposed Russia's
infringement on Georgia's sovereignty.[53]: 347
Citing principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and
global order, China used its influence in the SCO to prevent the
organization from supporting Russia.[53]: 347  Hu
downgraded relations with Russia because of unfulfilled
deals.[54]
...
In addition, Hu's "soft approach" to Taiwan, coinciding with the
election of a Kuomintang government in Taipei, improved the
relationship between mainland China and Taiwan. Trade and
contact between the two sides increased significantly during
Hu's tenure.
Back then it was far easier to be pro-China (though being
pro-China was ironically far less popular back then).
Trivia:
Hu Jintao was born on 21 December 1942[1] in Tai County,
Jiangsu province

During the Three Kingdoms period, southern Jiangsu became
the base of the Eastern Wu (222 to 280)
