How Putin made Europe go green faster

Nakba Day: German police have banned rallies for a second year
--- Quote ---
> Several flash mobs will be held in Berlin to protest against
the city's ban on rallies marking Nakba Day. Palestinians say
it's the second consecutive year they've been denied the right
to protest. Last year, a court ruled against five Palestinian
demonstrations due to the risk of inflammatory or anti-Semitic
slogans being chanted.

Germany is going down the same path as Denmark, where a
nominally "leftist" government is further to the right than past
rightist governments used to be. See also:

Why France and Germany have fallen out
--- Quote ---
> For the past couple of months, France and Germany have been in
a strained relationship. From disagreements on energy and debt
to conflicting visions of strategic autonomy, tensions seem to
have escalated. With the EU facing multiple crises and domestic
politics adding to the mix, we explore whether this is just
another bump in the road or an actual cause for concern.

"Germany's just begging to be invaded"
Well, the signs aren't good. If true, then this:
In data: The EU faces a major demographic decline with 27.3
million fewer people by 2100
HTML https://www.euronews.com/next/2023/04/04/china-sees-first-population-decline-in-six-decades-where-does-the-eu-stand
In conjunction with this working:

Would make this:

Less of an issue.
If left to rightists we are heading toward disaster and chaos!
Why Young Europeans are Further Right than Brits and Americans

best to figure out why this might be happening.

Europeans not convinced growing diversity is a good thing,
divided on what determines national identity
--- Quote ---
> [...]In this survey, publics were asked whether having an
increasing number of people of many different races, ethnic
groups and nationalities in their society makes their country a
better place to live, a worse place to live or doesn’t make much
difference either way. In no nation does a majority say
increasing diversity is a positive for their country. At most,
roughly a third in Sweden (36%), the UK (33%) and Spain (31%)
describe growing racial, ethnic and national diversity in
favorable terms.
>
> More common is the view that cultural diversity is neither a
plus nor a minus in terms of quality of life. This is the
prevailing attitude in France, Germany, the Netherlands and
Spain, where pluralities say growing diversity makes little
difference in their quality of life. Meanwhile, the British
public is split between those who see diversity as a positive,
negative or non-factor for their country.
>
> At the same time, more than half the public in Greece (63%)
and Italy (53%) believe that growing diversity makes their
country a worse place to live...

Diplomatic missions across Europe call on Israel to stop West
Bank demolitions
--- Quote ---
>
>
> A consortium of diplomatic missions across Europe, led by the
Office of the European Union Representative to the West Bank and
Gaza, called on Israel to stop all demolitions of schools and
other structures that were built with humanitarian help in the
West Bank, and allow humanitarian organization workers to
operate freely in the territory and in East Jerusalem.
>
> In a press statement Friday, the consulates general of
Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom,
and the representative offices of Denmark, Finland, Germany and
Ireland, as well as the EU office to the West Bank and Gaza,
slammed Israel for the recent demolition earlier this month of
an EU-funded school in the Palestinian village of Jubbet al-Dhib
near Bethlehem, and the “threatened demolition of another 57
schools in the West Bank.”
>
> In their communication with Israeli authorities, the
diplomatic missions on Friday called to “return or compensate
for all humanitarian items funded by the consortium of donors,
and estimated the “total value of donor-funded items, which have
been demolished, dismantled or confiscated since 2015… at
1,291,000 euros,” or close to $1.4 million.
>
> The missions on Friday also expressed their “grave concern”
for more than 1,000 Palestinians who are due for impending
expulsion from an arid area of the West Bank known as Masafer
Yatta, which the Israeli military has designated as a live-fire
training zone.
>
> The expulsion order was upheld last May by Israel’s Supreme
Court, after a two-decade legal battle. Most residents of the
area have remained in place since the ruling, even as Israeli
security forces periodically roll in to demolish structures.
