Adams maintained the position that the border "should
remain open."
"We believe the borders should remain open," Adams told
reporters Tuesday. "That's the official position of this city.
But we have made it clear there should be a decompression
strategy that we could properly deal with the volumes that's
coming into our city, and no cities should have to carry the
burden of a nation … of the national government."
Adams intentionally contradicted his chief adviser Ingrid
Lewis-Martin, who recently drew criticism from city council
members for insisting the U.S. close the southern border.
...
Reiterating the city is "at capacity," Adams said at one point
about 10,000 migrants were arriving per month, and more
recently, the city has recorded an influx of about 600 new
migrants a day or about 4,200 new migrants a week.
...
Since the migrant crisis began, New York City has opened 210
emergency sites, including 17 other large-scale humanitarian
relief centers.
New York has more than done its part. What we need is every US
city, town and other settlement doing at least as much for
refugees as New York is already doing. But of course rightists
are too inferior to see it that way, as seen in their comments:
So it's please come just dont come to my city
!!!!!!

Yep, come on in but don't come in my backyard.
Refugees should obviously go to the cities which have not yet
hosted any refugees! How is this not common sense?!
what a hypocrite
Adams is the opposite of a hypocrite! He is expects others to do
their parts as someone who has already done more than his part!
How many more refugees is Adams supposed to host before he can
demand others also host refugees?
I say Texas, Arizona and New Mexico need to double up on
the buses, send one an hour. Doesn't look like NY has learned
it's lesson.
Again we are back to:
HTML https://trueleft.createaforum.com/true-left-vs-false-left/true-left-breakthrough-folkish-imperialism/msg10902/#msg10902
In general, let X be an idea. If X is something that can
succeed only if everyone practices it, invasion to impose X is
justified.
Adams has a mandate to despotically rule all the parts of the US
which are not hosting refugees, in order to get them hosting
their fair share. This is the key principle that leftists need
to learn.
NYC mayor to residents of Puebla, Mexico: 'Mi casa es su
casa,' but 'there's no more room'
...
“We are neighbors. We are familia. Mi casa es su casa. Your
struggles are my struggles,” Adams said inside the legislative
chamber shortly after state Gov. Sergio Salomón Céspedes dubbed
him "Mayor of Puebla York.”
Migrants "are our future and we cannot lose one of them,” Adams
said.
...
“There is no more room in New York. Our hearts are endless, but
our resources are not," he said.
Those whose hearts are endless are those who should be given
resources to match (taken from those whose hearts are not
endless).
In his address to Puebla’s state congress earlier, the
mayor emphasized the role of New York City’s migrant community
during the pandemic. “During COVID-19 it was your children that
kept our stores open, the first responders, transportation
professionals, healthcare professionals,” he said. “We survived
COVID because your children were in our city.”
This point should be mentioned more often.
After the speeches by Puebla's governor and the city
mayor, members of congress began chanting “Adams hermano, ya
eres poblano,” a welcome that translates to “Brother Adams, you
are already a Pueblan.”
Why are those asking for Biden to drop out of the 2024 election
not proposing Adams to replace him?

It's Liberalism which protect White Nationalism
I wrote that if fanatics can throttle a non-profit like
us, “what is to stop animal rights activists from shutting down
a meat-packers’ meeting or environmentalists from shutting down
miners or foresters? As a flourish, I quoted Judge Learned Hand:
“Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies
there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it.”
