She looked at the ground. How many times in teh last 24 hours
had she thought the same thing. Her feelings for him were still
there, but things had changed. Right? She had barely even
figured out what he had done since she had last seen him.
Thoughts racing again she nodded softly. "Things could have
been a lot different."

She sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder again. "I guess
it's not worth dwelling on what might have been." She said a
slight sadness in her voice, before she covered it. "It's been
so long since I saw you, what have you been up too?" She asked
trying to mask her thoughts.

"Nothing really. Making friends. Sorta promised a friend that
I'd always be there for her, and If I wasn't, that she could
kill me. Probably not the best choice, but I don't break
promises."

Her eyes blinked a few times at his words. "You promised you'd
always be there for her, and if you weren't she could kill you?"
She let the words sink in, keeping her head against his
shoulder. She tried to sort through the meaning of what he had
just told her. "Well please keep your promise then, I don't
really want her killing you, but i know you don't break
promises." She teased lightly, something hidden beneath the
words.

She nodded softly, watching the water for a moment. "I'm glad
things have been going well. I know you wanted to learn and do
a lot when you came here." She said quietly. He knew what she
had been doing, and there was nothing to tell. House arrest and
dating Soarin, that pretty much summed up what had happened
since he left.

She let the silence take over, merely sitting there. She kept
her eyes on the water, listening to the soft wind. The snow
accumulated slowly on the top of knees.
