Can't We Talk About This? (Open, snowing,)

The snow was building, and a certain mix breed was sitting on
the railing, letting a small blue flame dance on his fingertips.
His mind was racing, mostly from the past 12 hours, and he shook
some of the snow from his hair. He wasn't wearing a jacket. Or a
hat. Or a scarf.

A flutter of long pink hair peeked out from under a yellow hat.
A thick coat was wrapped tightly along the girl as she walked
along the boardwalk. Her hand ran over the railing as she
approached quietly. She took a deep breath. "Hi Ryou."

The voice suprised him, but he stared at his hands, watching the
little flame flare slightly. His eyes lifted to her and he
straightened up slightly.
"Hello Akira."

She leaned her elbows on the railing as she tilted her head to
watch the flame in his hand. A soft smile crept across her
face. She sighed lightly, unsure of how to start into a
conversation with him. She knew they needed to talk. She
leaned her head on her hands. "Are you okay?"

"Jolly. Just Jolly." The half breed said, shaking some snow from
his hair. His head fell slightly, thinking about what had just
happened.

She sighed watching him shake the snow from his hair. Reaching
into her coat pocket, she pulled a dark blue hat from it. She
held it out softly for him. She wanted to take his hand, the
last day weighing heavily on both their minds. Moving an bit
closer she settled her gaze on him. "We both know that's not
true." She shook her head lightly. "Do you want to talk? I'll
understand if you don't. I'll understand if you just want me to
leave you alone."

He finally jumped from the railing, brushing himself off.
"It is true. I told you, I am happy for the both of you. I was
just...Surprised. That's all.. He said, taking the hat and
putting it on his head.

She smiled lightly as he took the hat as her gaze fell to the
ground. His words hit her heart. "I know. I didn't expect it
to happen, but I also didn't know when or if I would see you
again." She said softly.

He shook his head and turned towards her. He shook his head.
"As long as your happy with him, I don't matter. I left. He
didn't. It makes sense."

She didn't want to dwell on things that hurt, but she wanted him
to be able to talk to her if he wanted too. She took a step
towards him, looking up at him, bitting her lip softly. If he
hadn't left....she shook her head her head wanted to go down
that train of thought, last night had been....she sighed again.
She nodded lightly. Soarin had been doing his best to take care
of her since he had left.
