Mountain Trail

A small trail leading up to the scraggly rocks of the mountains.

Sera walked up the mountain trail as the sun was setting. She
wanted to get a good look at the stars. A small white fox
followed her carefully almost watching over her. Her hair was
loosely tied back from her face to keep the wind from blowing it
around. A deep purple sweater kept her warm from the cool
breeze as she watched the stars overhead.

As the girl traveled farther she could see a bush with what
appeared to be a small furry pink animal curled up behind it.

Sera tilted her head lightly her deep blue eyes settling on the
object behind the bush. Cautiously she approached the bush,
although keeping her distance, choosing to observe it for a
moment. Tilting her head lightly she watched her fox companion
walk ahead sniffing lightly at the pink.

As the fox sniffed the pink fluff, it stirred. Yawning, it
shifted then began to rise up from behind the bush revealing
that it was hair on top of a young boys head. He was naked. The
boy rubbed his eyes as if just waking up and stretched his arms
upward taking no notice of the girl.

Sera quickly covered her eyes with the back of her hand and
wrist without thinking, leaving the symbol on her wrist peeking
out from under the sweater. She moved delicately but skillfully
moving behind a tree even with her eyes covered. The little fox
gave a loud yip at the boy in front of him.

After stretching he scratched his backside.
"Huh?" He turned his head towards the yipping sound, looking
down he saw the small white fox. "Oh, what's up?" he knelt down
and innocently pet the fox. "Are you someone's familiar?" he
scanned the trail curiously then caught glimpse of someone
hidden behind a tree. "Oi! is this your familiar?"

The fox tensed up slightly being pet by someone he didn't know.
He scampered back a bit the little fox eyeing the boy, almost
looking Sera spoke up quietly, her voice soft with an air of
mystery. "Yes Flocon is my familiar." Her tone and volume give
off the idea that she is reserved, maybe leaning to shy. She
continues to stay behind the tree, not scared of him, but not
knowing what state he is in.

Curiously he stood up and began to walk towards the girl unaware
of his nudity. "Oh, I'm Shima Sakurai. What's your name?" he
held out a hand to shake, but was suddenly stricken with a pain
in his side. His hand slapped down tot he affected area as he
keeled over slightly in pain, clenching his teeth. There were
light red scratches all over his body.

"My name is Sera. Sera Sabloni." Flocon watched the boy as he
showed signs of pain, tilting his head at the scales. The
little demon yipped to Sera who had heard the change in his
breathing. She opened her eyes slowly noticing the scales.
"Are you okay?" She asked quickly, starting to run through
scenarios in her mind, as she pulled at her bag hanging at her
side.
