Shore

A shore to a beautiful blue sea. Many people come here to relax
on their days off of school.

Toes burrowed into the warm sand, a soft sigh escaped her as she
reclined back on the beach watching the waves roll to and fro.
Purple eyes stared up at the blue sky, wishing that it would
quickly darken into rainfall. Ascher was currently enjoying the
peaceful atmosphere of the beach, wearing dark blue sleeveless
blazer that clung to her lithe frame and black leather pants.
She let herself fall back full on the sand, long blue tresses
fanning out behind her as she stretched her hands up and stared
at the sky between her fingers. Her mind wandered over various
things.

Ryou just happened to be one of those things, and then, like
magic, he shows up. Blacky, his cat, was by his side, mewing
softly. His dad had always told him about the beaches here, and
he could finally see them for himself.

The second she heard the soft mew she shot up into a sitting
position. She turned and immediately noticed the cat, and didn't
even register the owner with it. "Hello pretty cat!" she cooed,
holding out her hand so as not to scare it away.

Blacky's eyes widened and he mewed happily, trotting over to
Ascher, headbumping her softly. The little black cat mewed, but
Ascher was certain she could hear words.
"Hi!!! I'm Blacky!!!"
Near the shoreline, Ryou was smiling at his familiar.

She picked him up and began scratching behind his ears "It is a
pleasure to meet you, my name is Ascher." a girlish giggle
escaped her as she cuddled the cat close. "You're so cute, I
wish I had a cat."

Blacky began to purr softly, his tail flicking happily.
"I loved coming to the beach. When Rin brought me here, he would
always sit right there, and look out at the ocean. He said,
pointing to where Ryou was standing.
"But then he was born, and things happened, so now, I have to
protect Ryou-san!!"

She followed his gaze, nearly dropping the cat when she saw
Ryou. She twitched in annoyance "Perfect, another place ruined."
she muttered to herself. She considered putting the cat down now
that she knew it belonged to her current annoyance but her love
of cats won out so she kept petting him.

Blacky noticed her expression and mewed softly.
"He may act rude, but he's not that mean. He's really nice once
you get to know him."

"I hope he trips into the nearest well and drowns.." she replied
and sat down letting her toes burrow back into the sand "He's
annoying, rude and gets under my skin. His majesty should find
someone else to pester."
