A soft knock came to Akira's door, and an angry Ryou was on the
other side.

Akira was lying on her bed amongst some of the books, when she
heard the knock at her door. "Just one second." she called
softly. Rubbing slightly weary eyes, she tidied up the stack of
books and set them on the floor. Running her hands through her
hair lightly she sat up and walked to the door. Her hand fell
on the doorknob but before she turned it she peered out of the
peep hole. Caution was more on her mind than it was before.
Seeing who it was she opened the door slowly. She smiled
lightly, a bit of worry in her eyes as she inadvertantly scanned
him to make sure he was healing okay. Seeing the anger in his
eyes her smile dissappeared. "Ryou? What's wrong."

Ryou looked at Akira and shook his head. "I got Azura back for a
day... She didn't even... Want to see me.. All she could think
about was Ryoji."

Akira sighed lightly and ran a hand through her hair, letting
him in her room. She smiled lightly at him. Sitting down on
the side of her bed she motioned for him to sit if he wanted.
She knew how much he cared for Ascher, that was clear in the
last few events. A light breath and he found her blue eyes on
him. "Maybe she's worried about hurting you. I know she cares
for you. Its probably having to do with that crystal." She
offered a quiet possibility.

"That's not it. He gave Ascher full control. Something's
wrong... I think she knows. She knows that I still love you...
And.. I think she loves Ryoji.." He said sitting on the bedand
placing his head in her lap.

She carefully took in his words, keeping her mind from racing
too fast. As he laid his head in her lap, she instinctually
brushed her fingers through his hair lightly. She knew she
still had feelings for him, but she hadn't wanted those to keep
him from being happy with Ascher. The part about Ryoji took her
a bit by surprise though. "You think she loves Ryoji?" she
asked quietly. Her mind filtered back through his words, and
she her fingers paused for just a moment. Did he say that he
still loved her? Keeping a measured face, she looked at him.

He nodded. "Yeah.. I do. She's acting differently.." He said,
nuzzling her lap softly. He laced his fingers with hers gently,
and looked back at her.

Squeezing his hand back as his fingers laced in hers, she
brushed her other finger through his hair again. She knew how
she felt, but she still didn't want to write off Ascher's
feelings. "Maybe its just coming from the stress from what's
been going on. I'm sure when Damion had his bug in you could
still be weighing on her mind." she said quietly, her eyes soft
as they watched his.

She sighed squeezing his hand comfortingly. "I know you never
wanted to hurt anyone." She closed her eyes and tilted her head
up for a moment. "I know you love her, and I think I've always
known how you felt about me."
