Lost in thought [roof, open, afternoon]

Akira sat on the edge of the roof, not bundled up against the
cold, shivering slightly. Her legs were swung over the edge as
her gentle blue eyes gazed absently out across the landscape.
She was lost in her own thoughts, trying to come up with
something. At the same time thinking about nothing. All she
had wanted to do was try to help her friends, and now.
Everything she did seemed to only hurt others. Now her brother
was mad at her, had left. She had never wanted to upset him.
She normally appriciated him protecting her, she had hoped he
would be there for her. However now he was mad and had left in
a blaze of lightning, telling her he wouldn't follow her to
hell. She laid down on the edge of the roof resting her head on
the cement. "Why can't I do anything right?" She muttered to
herself, closing her eyes halfway.

Cain flew up and onto the roof, landing quietly he folded his
wings on his back and looked at Akira.

Akira heard the flutter of wings and looked up at cain. Traces
of a soft smile crossed her lips seeing him. The wings seemed
to suit him. Pushing herself back to a seated position with a
sigh. "Hi Cain." she said quietly.

He smiled back, happily surprised she didn't seem upset by the
wings. He walked over and sat down beside her. "You okay?" he
asked.

She rubbed her forehead lightly. "I've been better. My brother
saw me arguing with Damion. He's mad at Ryou for not protecting
me better, and mad at me for not staying out of trouble. Then
he left. Ive never seen him so mad before, telling me he
wouldnt follow me to hell and that big brother tried to help."
She sighed deeply, his words stung when she thought about them.
Pushing her hair back from her face she regained her smile. "I
like the wings, they really suit you."

He nodded "I'm certain he doesn't mean that, he's mad right now
but if you're in trouble he will come running to help. He's
worried and upset bad things keep happening, he'll cool down
eventually and see how much his words hurt." he assured her with
a smile.
His wings twitched in response to her words. "You think
so...your not upset to find out I'm a demon?" he questioned,
rubbing the back of his head.

She nodded softly as he spoke of her brother. "I guess your
right. I had just never seen him so mad. I tried to tell him
it wasnt like i was walking around asking for trouble." She
shook her head with a light laugh.
She shook her head and smiled in response to his question. "I'm
not upset. Its nice to see what you look like as you. I dont
care that you're a demon, you've been helping me. You're the
one I can talk to. You're my friend. I dont think what you are
changes who you are."

He smiled and hugged her "Thank you." he said softly, pulling
away with a slight blush. His expression turning serious as he
remembered why he was here "I think somethings happened, I
haven't seen Ascher in days and I could sense Damion had been in
our dorm at some point."

Akira hugged him back as he thanked her and smiled. As his
expression turned serious and he spoke her face fell too. "That
can't be good. Do you think he has her?" She asked quickly.

He nodded "I think so. We'll need to be prepared to fight. If I
know Damion he's off preparing his next arena to be used against
us." he said and ran a hand through his hair.
