She shivered lightly as he took the ends of her hair, almost
attempting to retreat futher back, but was blocked by the
boulder. "I...I can't sacrifice Ascher for what I want. How is
that fair to her?" His last comment made her shudder violently,
as her eyes dropped to the ground. Her voice fell to a whisper.
"I never wanted to hurt anyone. If I had just never come..."

"Oh dear don't go blaming yourself, dear Ryou was the one who
didn't accept my help properly." he curled his fingers around
her hair. "Had you not come you would've never been reunited
with your lover, he's the one who makes you happy, you're the
one who knows him so intimately. Don't you deserve to be happy
too little Angel?"

She kept her eyes down, watching him curl his fingers through
her hair. Catching her lower lip lightly she thought for a
moment. "He still holds a peice of my heart, and he still makes
me happy." she whispered softly, feeling like the very words
were almst a betryal. "Do I deserve to be happy? I want to be,
I really do. But happiness at the expense of others..."

He smiled "No one will be hurt my dear, Ascher can be erased
from his memories, I can give him memories of only you and you
will once again have your chance at happiness." he said softly
and leaned closer to her. "I can make your dreams come true,
just say the word, he will be yours and the girl will no longer
be an obstacle."

She kept her eyes trained down, biting her lip. Chosing to
erase Ascher from Ryou's memories...sacrificing her to get what
she wanted. Could she ever live with herself again if she made
that choice. It was wrong to sacrifice someone just to get what
she wanted, even if it was Ryou, wasn't it? There was Soarin
too. She had been seeing Ryou, despite how much she knew it
would hurt him too. Self hatred welled up in the angel.
Confusion, guilt, and desire spun through her head like a
cyclone.

As she kept her head down a smirk spread across his face. He
didn't need to see her face to know how she was feeling. Even if
she decided against his plans he would still have other plans in
place to take the girl, this plan would just be far more fun to
instill.

Her heart ached as she thought about the choices. Make a deal
she knew would hurt others to get what she wanted most. The
selfish side of her could no longer deny it. Ryou would always
hold a piece of her heart. But soarin, and Ascher...what if
Ryou remembered at some point. If she chose it how would she
tell soarin, not that she'd seen much of him. Wasnt he the
reason she was here... She slowly raised her eyes, blue
swirling with confusion and hurt. "I...."

She looked down and shook her head softly. Part of her wanted
to say yes or ask for more time, while the other part of her
felt only disgust at herself. "I...I cant cause that. Even if
its what I want. I want Ryou to be able to seek out whoever
makes him happy on his own. My happiness, my wants, no matter
how strong, they don't matter. They never do." She sighed
lightly looking at her hands again.

He smiled "Well aren't you the strong one, and here I was hoping
to corrupt you as well. Pity it seems I must think of another
plane." he said, tossing his cigarette to the ground he stomped
it out. "No matter little one. In the end I will corrupt your
little friend, after all she will be the key to ruining that
traitorous half breed. And once we get to the full climax of our
little play then and only then will he receive the mercy of
death." he grinned at her.
