Lost in the woods [11/3, late afternoon, evening, open]

Akira came to a stop in a clearing in the woods. Looking around
she ran a frusteated hand though her hair. She had been out
wandering around, watching the forest animals, and had wandered
too far off the path. She wrapped her coat around her tighter,
as she started looking for a way back to the school.

Ryou was running through the forest, looking for Akira. When he
finally found her, he smiled and hugged her.

Akira was confused when she was suddenly hugged. When she
turned to see who it was she smiled. "Hi Ryou. What are you
doing all the way out here?" she laughed lightly.

She tilted her head lightly and smiled. "Well you found me.
You know you can ask me anything you know that. So what is it?"

"Why did you say yes to Soarin?" He asked, looking her in the
eyes. "That question has been in my head since I found out.."

Her normal smile faded slightly. She sighed and ran her fingers
through her hair. "Why did I say yes to Soarin." Her eyes
darted down for a minute before they settled on his. "He'd been
a very good friend. He was there for me when you left. Those
days that I didn't know what to do, he was there. It was hard
for me when you left, and he was there for me during it. We got
closer through that." She looked down slightly. Things would
have been so much different if he hadn't left, but he had been
the one to ask Soarin to protect her.

His eyes also darted down, but he slowly smiled.
"I see... Well, I'm glad he did such a good job!"

Her fingers tilted his chin up lightly. "He was always going to
do his best to protect me you know that. You left big shoes to
fill. Everyone, even mom and leo, knew I felt safe always with
you." She said quietly.
