Overview:
-Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 9/10 This varies for everyone
though depending what instrument you use and your skill with it.
-Offline: 47 Some are much easier done online though
-Online: 2
-Missable trophies: None
-Do cheats block trophies?: Yes
-Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 100-150 hours. If
you've played other music genre games like Guitar Hero and can
play expert this will come to not much more of a challenge. If
you've never touched a music genre game then it may take well
over 100 hours of practice just to be able to play expert. Then
to be able to play expert on all instruments even if its on
their easiest song will take a long time. If your going to pick
this game up strictly for trophies i would stay away unless your
prepared for it.
If this is your first time playing a music genre game then play
the tutorials. The tutorials give you the basics of the game and
tell you what you'll need to get started and can be very helpful
to a new player. You can find tutorials for all instruments
under Training then Tutorials. This game takes practice. You
will need to be able to play and beat every song on insane for a
certain instrument and there are some pretty hard songs so this
may take you awhile. For tricky parts of a song you can go to
practice mode where it lets you go to a specific part in the
song instead of playing over and over to get to one part. To get
there go to Training then Pratice.
Guitar: Hammer ons can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
They can save you so that your hand can take a break for a
second and it can really help with tricky note sequences. It can
be your worst enemy though because sometimes you'll go for the
hammer on and you'll miss the note. You dont have to be spot on
with hammer ons but you need to be very close. On very fast
sections strum up and down instead of just down as it is much
easier to strum faster this way. If you feel your close to a
gold star and its near the end of a song start to whammy.
Whammying gives you more points though not much you never know
it could be just enough to put you over the edge and get that
gold star rating.
Bass: For the bass the songs generally have the same sequence
over and over or something close to it. Its the same as the
guitar in the fact that whammying gives you more points and
there are hammer ons though not many for bass. There is a lot
more chords as a bassist (the double and triple notes) so you
might have to practice the song a couple times to get your
double and triple note hitting skills good enough. Generally
bass is easier than guitar but on some songs like Heroes of our
times it has the same exact notes as the guitar. Or sometimes
they are even harder than guitar for example "Bleeding Out" bass
notes to me seem like a very random pattern and hard to pick up.
I find most songs on the bass much easier than guitar though.
Drums: The footpedal notes (long orange ones) are normally the
same pattern or close to it throughout the song. If you get
stuck on a song take baby steps with it. First learn the
footpedal and its pattern. Then after you've got that part down
start to hit the red, blue, yellow and green notes. You can buy
a second footpedal for the really fast footpedal songs (mostly
the metal songs at the end). I personally do not own one but
numerous people told me once they got used to using a double
footpedal it made it so much easier.
Vocals: Though saying the words to the song makes it fun its not
necessary, I repeat saying the words is not necessary. Though it
makes it more fun at parties and around friends for songs like
"Alone not Lonely" it makes it much harder. You can simply hum
the tune of the singers voice and it will work.
Overdrive and you.
Overdrive is a very valuable asset you will notice while
progressing through the career. Some songs cannot be gold
starred without using your overdrive in the right place. You get
overdrive by hitting the white notes in a song. You must hit all
of the white notes to get overdrive. When your playing as guitar
or bass and the overdrive is placed on a long note whammy like
you've never whammyed before because you get overdrive everytime
you whammy that note. Guitar and bass can use overdrive whenever
they want by tilting the guitar controller up into the air or by
pushing the select button located next to the strum bar. The
drums and vocals on the other hand can only use it at certain
points. Once you get overdrive with the drums you will see a
drum fill section where you can play whatever you want and then
you must hit the green drum at the end to deploy overdrive. The
drum fill looks like long streams of (going from left to right)
red, yellow, blue and green that take up the whole note chart.
For vocals you get overdrive by playing the overdrive section of
the chart right and you must either hum or hit the microphone
with your hand when your note chart goes gold to deploy
overdrive. Many trophies require you or just help to have
overdrive.
Introduction :
Step 1 - Complete Quest Mode
Simple step; just finish the amount of songs needed to complete
it. You should earn most of the story-related trophies just by
finishing quest mode. Once you complete this mode, you will have
access to all 8 power ups. While playing, you should also unlock
misc related trophies.
Step 2 - Quest Mode Replay
In order to obtain "Perfectionist", you will have to replay
every song in quest mode at least one time. You can play on any
difficulty. This trophy requires you to earn 40 stars on every
song. To earn 40 stars, you will have to replay them using 2
power ups of your choice. I recommend using Starpower-Nova and
Note Streak Protector. Keep in mind that this is the most time
consuming trophy in the game and it should take you about 12-15
hours to complete.
Step 3 - Quickplay
In this step you will be going to earn 3,600 stars to get Ace
Astrologer. After you have completed quest mode and unlocked all
power ups, you are able to earn up to 80 stars on a song in
quickplay. You can still earn the maximum amount of stars on a
song on any difficulty. The 2 power ups that I suggest using are
Starpower-Nova and Note Streak Protector. You don't have to earn
every star on every song for this trophy. Earning 45-50 stars on
each song is good enough. There are 72 songs available, without
download content, and with a maximum of 50 stars on each song,
you can earn over 3,600 stars! By the end of this step, you
should have obtained all of the quest-related trophies and every
trophy that requires you to earn a certain amount of stars.
Step 4 - Blackout Mode
During this step, you will be going for miscellaneous trophies
such skill based. That mode is inside quickplay unlocked after
getting rocking level of 50, 1'500 stars are needed. This mode,
avoid any chance to took a power-ups plus every single notes are
black, you need to memorize perfectly which color is it, not
that hard because the order don't change (Green, Red, Yellow,
Blue and Orange). You must need to play Expert and insane mode
for unlock trophies in that part, keep in mind you need some
practice for that. The speed are the same as normal quickplay if
you haven't changed it.
Step 5 - Multiplayer
As long as you can find a boosting partner, this step should be
easy. In this step you should be focusing on the following
trophies: String Twins and Seasoned Competitor. Plus you can
play quest mode, Quickplay and blackout mode with friends for
help, take note, point related trophies must be completed by
yourself, can't be boosted, same for skill based trophies.
Cheats :
Hyperspeed : Red,Red,Blue,Red,Yellow,Green,Orange,Blue (Trophies
still unlockable).
Auto Kick : Blue,Red,Blue,Blue,Red,Blue,Red,Yellow (Trophies on
drum can't be earned and doesn't work online).
Always Slide : Green,Blue,Red,Yellow,Green,Orange,Orange,Red
(Trophies can't be earned on guitar and bass plus doesn't work
online).
Focus Mode : Blue,Green,Green,Yellow,Green,Green,Yellow,Blue
(Trophies still unlockable).
All Hammer-ons : Green,Red,Orange,Blue,Yellow,red,Blue,Blue
(Trophies can't be earned)
Invisible Characters
Green,Red,Blue,Yellow,Yellow,Yellow,Red,Orange (Trophies still
unlockable).

Hit every star phrase in the song "Surrender" as insane

A Star phrase is a series of notes that are shaped like stars.
Hit every star shaped note in the song and this trophy is yours.
You can do this on drum as well, to make it less difficult for

Perform 5 stars on the hardest vocal as expert or insane
vocalist.
You need to get five stars on the following songs:
1. The New Order
2. Wicked Nest
3. Reclaim my Place
4. Follow the Leader
5. Not Meant to be (You must need to beat 1 bonus chapter for
unlock that song)
I suggest you play it on Expert as it is much easier than
Insane. You can hum the notes if you'd like. I find it makes it
easier as I don't need to concentrate on the words. Also I
suggest putting your mic sensitivity to all the way up.

Play the song on expert instead of insane and it will be much
easier to complete. It will take more than one try to get it,
but keep practicing and you should get there eventually. The
only difference between expert and insane mode is double pedal
pattern, on that song you can easily get the achievement without
double set pedal, you can't over right, you must need to play
perfectly.

of overdrive phase because for earn the golden star you have to
get 97% or more and 500'000 points. Blackout mode isn't harder
than normal mode, except every single note is black.

singer and get it that way. This would also be done quickest on

Play 50 songs in total in the blackout mode.
Once you have unlocked the blackout mode at level 50 (1'500
stars), go in that mode and play for fun until the trophy is
yours.

Complete a 1001 note streak inside blackout mode as expert or
insane guitarist.
That trophy look tough but isn't at all, after unlock blackout
mode, take the song "Welcome to my Underworld" which had 1036
notes on a moderate pattern as insane guitarist, keep practicing
and you'll be able to do it without that much difficulty.

Perfectly play "Welcome to my Underworld' on blackout mode as
expert or higher difficulty setting.
Same as "The Streak" do it while doing "Back in
Black" for save time, during you're going for a 1001 streak
notes you can perfectly play "Welcome to my Underworld" which
require near of perfection, last part of the song are very easy
so don't worry.
