       Dear Sisters,
       I have bee researching diligently to satisfy my fears that we
       are acceptable under Islam. I am sure some of you, far more
       versed and experienced than I, would know this, I am
       so.impatoent to folow my new calling in safety and obedience. So
       please forgive my presumption if you feel I post out of turn. I
       am jut so excited.
       Here is a thread, and there are surely many more (I will not
       post futher) showing hw our status is permissible uder God.

       I am far from a theologian, but I believe there is a place in
       the ummah, and much greater minds that mine have reached the
       same conclusion. Indeed, from the shia perspective, Khomeini
       himself supported gender reassignment surgery for trans people,
       and sunni scholar Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy of Al Azhar did
       likewise in Egypt. Local bigots, however, are more common than
       dirt, even if their opinion should be treated as such.
