Quick question
How are members selected for their country in regards to the
current FIPS tournament?
Who can attend this comp?
Why is Big Danny,Jason Carter , Steve Lewis and Andrew Sheehan
not there?

As far as I know Big Danny said on his facebook a year or so ago
he would not be competing at an international level due to a
scandal within Belgian casting. He could still go as an
independent, as can anyone as long as their national angling
body is affiliated to the world group or something like that. I
will need to look into it more.
Steve Lewis doesn't cast as much these days, hope he makes a
return. I think Jason still casts but not as much, and Andrew is
Welsh so wouldn't be eligible for the England team.
Not too sure how England select their teams. It used to be based
on performances at UKSF GP's I think.
Hopefully Jay Lee can shed some light on the subject?!

I guess people move on ,tick boxes or find other interests or
worse(injuries)
Be good to go to a worlds or even see this kind of sport at the
Olympics,I’d rather watch casting than handball.

I think it would be cool too but there wouldn't be room for
spectators around the court as such. But televised it might be
good to watch the casting in super HD and slo mo's, and if the
camera could pick up the leads through the air too.
But as a live spectacle due to the nature it could take 45 mins
to an hour or more to get through 1 round and get measures etc.
A highlights program would be good tho!
