The grass had been cut so we where able to get back into the
upper field, as it was meant to be a 15 to 23mph wind blowing
southwest. So with great excitement we set up at the top of the
hill and once the court was set up the wind died to 7mph with
some stronger gusts of 12mph, it also changed direction to a
west south west breeze which is slightly cross court. Despite we
did our best and it took a few casts before we remembered how to
cast as its been a while. With 4 members in attendance the round
where quick so many cast where had, the lack of walking took its
toll on some and walking back up the slope soon became a core in
the heat. There was a few pbs today so well done to Graeme on a
200g pb and Louis on a 100g pb, top bombing goes to Stevie who
put a 175g lead 270 yards. Once again thanks for the help
putting up and taking down of the court.

today looked so good on paper with light rain and a 20mph
northwest wind, so we set the court up in the lower field to try
and maximize the wind. Now here's the kicker we did get light
rain but it a 20mph+ wind straight across the court. This meant
loads of line out left so reels where slowed down and a practice
day was called. We did our best in the conditions and the four
members who turned up stuck with heavy leads to combat the
strong side wind. As you can probably guess distances where down
and no one wanted to record a cast. So before the heavy rain set
in we packed up early and headed home, until next time and we
hope the weather is in our favor then.

the weather wasn't going to be on our side today with light rain
and a breeze blowing southwest until 2pm then change to
northwest. So the three members who turned up soon had the court
set up in the upper field to try and make the most of the wind
before it changed. It was good to see the return of Benny who's
work patterns had kept him away. Anyhow after a damp start and a
few crack offs we soon got into the swing of things, there was
no breeze just still air but we managed a couple of decent
casts. This is where it all went bad and the wind came earlier
and changed direction so it was in our faces, it also brought a
dense fog so you couldn't see the court, so with this we packed
up and went home which was good as the heavens opened with heavy
rain. No distances where recorded as the range finder couldn't
pierce the fog but all leads where around the 190- 210 yard
mark. Thanks to Benny and Louis with your help with the court,

we had a beautiful dry day with some sun, a good day for a walk,
bad day for casting as there was no wind, it reached a maximum
of 3mph added to that the air pressure was high. With this in
mind most of us used the opportunity to work on timing and
technique leaving the mags alone, some progress was made but
there's a lot of work to be done. Five members in attendance
today so the round took a bit longer, Stevie had a little/large
day casting 200g then 50g as he got a new toy, a nice mag1.
After a lot of casting we packed up and headed home, only Stevie
recorded any distance. Thanks again for all the help with the
court lads, until 2 weeks time.
