       Grunting/Yelling/Screaming when casting

Seems quite popular a lot of people let out a big scream when
they hit the rod! Does it add metres?
Assuming your technique is good and you want to give it
       everything, why not?
Ive never tried it but I might. Discuss!

I was taught to exhale hard on the powerstroke. A strong grunt
or yell always assured that I was not holding my breath on the
       hit.

I guess that makes sense as you do the same lifting weights.
Exhale on the lift, breathe in on the way back

Sounds interesting - Tommy just to ask at exactly what point do
you inhale ? Is it during the pickup on the backdswing just
before you start the power stroke ?This seems obvious just
exactly at which point do you inhale and exhale during the cast
       ?
Also just to add has anybody seen ones expression on face during
for instance when adjusting mag on the fly ? or just before you
let go cast and begin to stare at your reel when line is peeling
out ? I've seen mine on my slomo videos and let me tell you
it's downright ugly ! I mean the way i flinch my face is
totally unbelievable and weird ! LOL ! It' doesn't even look
like me I'm sure this happens to everybody right ?

For me, exhale on the outswing, inhale on the inswing and exhale
       hard on the hit.

Exhale for sure on the hit as Tommy says....and maybe a
yell/scream...but that's usually due to a crack off or some
       other error.
But as for tennis on every shot.....no thanks,,,Sharapova
       springs to mind.

I think it will probably help with focus and its been used in
martial arts for centuries to increase power
