Is there a need for a high left hand? Was watching videos of a
few prominent high swingers. I noticed a lot of them does not
have a high left hand during the cast. So I m wondering what are
       the thoughts on this?

Here wasnt left too much high swingers to see.. but the 3 we
have in a high competition level wont get the left hand high. Is
like a chin or shoulder high untill the hit.

Yeah haven't seen a high swinger get the left hand above
       chin/shoulder height I don't think.

Phil Jones, he's a high swing caster, has cast over 300 yards.
       Nuff Said tbh :)
Plus it's Phil, nothing works right there.

Hafeez buddy yes there is a definitely a need to bring left hand
high as when bringing rod around in the high swing I prefer not
to drop tip when bringing rod around.Ive been told this from
others I remember once someone commented on my video saying my
       left hand was too low.
Of course I may be wrong as I'm no expert just my opinion buddy

       hi biil,
i m still experimenting. but as jeremy pointed out to me, it
would be easier for me to bring up the left hand if i slant the
rod lower and not in the upright manner. :)

Sounds like good advise to me buddy as for me i don't seem to
have any problems raising my left arm turning into cast without
dropping rod lower I like to maintain rod at about shoulder
parallel to ground level when turning into cast think it kinds
of look very stylish and elegant and more of a old school style
High Swing.Im always trying to replicate the old style high
swing and it's a lot of fun trying to get somewhere with
it.Anyway i focus more on style and technique rather than all
out distance so its different for me.Hope it works great for u
       buddy all the best
