5500 spool

Found something interesting today. My pb on the 125 years ago
was with a ultra mag2 black spool. Weighted the spool today it’s
15g normal silver 5500 spool 18g. Interesting.

I believe they do, not 100% tho. Possibly different
sizebearings tho. 3 x 10 x 4 instead of usual 4 x 10 x 4. I
think some ultramags might even ve 3 x 9 x 4! Very confusing.
Had an ultramag III before and it cast well. Hard to get a good
grip on spool tho

Never knew they fitted a 5500 I’ve been going through all my
gear hunting for a spool for a 5500 and have come across 3 mag2
spools will have to try one.

You just have to file down the brake block holder so the bit on
spindle can go all the way in.
