Spool balancing

Something that I can't find any YouTube videos on is spool
balancing, if anyone could point me in the right direction it
would be greatly appreciated, I know Tommy farmer has done one
however the angle of the camera is not too great.
Thanks Matt

It is sometimes a case of trial and error to be honest. Firstly
I would try to lay it on cotton reel style as best as possible
in the first instance.
If this doesn't work a hump to the very left and very right and
sometimes in the middle for the backing line seems to work. If
you cast it and it is still noisy as hell (assuming spindle is
straight and bearings in good nick) take it to a big deserted
beach and walk all the line off and try a few different humps
here and there!
Try this too

Thanks I'll try it, I've tried the video below and changed
bearings etc, and I'm sure it's just like you say trail and
error.

Used the same technique as shown in the video with great
success.
You may also consider balancing the spool without the line, you
would be surprised how much empty spools can be out of balance.
