Newcastle United target Erik Pieters could still move to
Tyneside but admits he wouldn't be disappointed if he didn't.
Pieters had this to say,
"The Premier League is a
very good league to play
in," Pieters told reporters
after the victory over Den
Haag.
"I'm open to this step, it
seems a great challenge.
But if it fails, I am not
disappointed.
"My agent must report to
me when it is really
concrete. I have not
heard yet, so I wait."

Hmmmm Pieters or Cissokho, it is a tough choice since I have
never seen either of them playing, I know Timmy rates Pieters
but he is the only Dutch speaking player in our squad, I do know
that most Dutch speak better English than most folk in
Wearyside, but the added bonus of having French speakers at the
club makes me lean towards Cissokho. Any thoughts on the
matter? TOON FOR LIFE regardless

I heard Pieters got MOTM last night for PSV.
I havent seen him play but Ryan Taylor at RB and Pieters at LB
would be great

hmmm I can see your thinking there my only concern is Ryan ain't
the best tackler in world, and to be honest he was so lucky on
Saturday not to see red for throwing the elbow at Gyan, is it
worth sacrificing a natural right back for a player who
undoubtably has free kicks in his arsenal but to be honest not
much else, he has been given opportunities but has flattered to
deceive (that's only my view of course). Simpson is getting
better don't forget it took Enrique time to make the left back
berth his own, I do think Simpson will get stronger in that
role. Discuss. TOON FOR LIFE regardless

I think Ryan Taylor has alot more to offer.
im not one of his overnight fans because of his goal
i always ratedhim and he had a good pre season.
He plays in some great balls and what i like is that hes an
atacking defender which is the best form of defence.
We have Colo and Stevie Taylor who are both very attacking too.
ryan is alot better than danny in my opinion.
only time will tell.

I am just a bit sceptical because of his temperament, we
struggle sometimes with 11 let alone 10, only time will tell,
personally it does not matter to me who is picked once they run
over that white line they all get my 100% support, only
afterwards do I start nitpicking.

Great forum, but shouldn't this and the other thread be in the
transfer part? Otherwise that part is pretty pointless.

TalkMagpie is one of my main forums so now this has transfer
news etc.
No point having a board assigned to transfers as the transfer
window is open for a short while
