FA Fine Arsenal and Newcastle Utd

The FA have a slapped both Arsenal and NUFC with a £30,000 fine
for not controlling their players during the high tempered
encounter on the opening day of the season.
It is believed Newcastle will appeal the decision but it leads
me to think that they have more things to worry about right now.
Were Newcastle Utd in the wrong? Were Arsenal in the wrong? I
believe YES on both accounts.
Newcastle should be thankful no action was taken against Joey
Barton for man handling Gervinho to be fair so a £30,000 fine
is kind of a let off really.
What do you guys/girls think?

Well it is a hard one because on one hand Barton did instigate
the melee, looking back at the replays with a clear mindset I
can see it was not a dive but at the time in real time it did
look like a dive, but should a player really take the game into
his own hands like Barton did? But on the other hand the F.A.
have repeatedly said they would slap repeat offenders with
heavier fines but yet Arsenal never seem to be hit with the
bigger fines yet they are the worst offenders along with
Manchester United and Chelsea for surrounding players, referees
etc. So it is time for the F.A. to actually practise what they
preach.

Absolutely, I totally agree with you.
If Newcastle break the rules then i'm all for the club getting
punished but I do think that the 'Bigger' clubs get treated a
lot differently to others.
