Love is not about keeping scores.Love is doing something because
       you love them.

There are more ways than one to look at this issue...
You can love someone and put far more effort into your
relationship than the person you love. If you've had prior
issues in your relationship and are trying to work through them
together. And you are giving it all you can to make it work, and
the other person is just sitting back and not trying to improve
your relationship than that's another way to look at it.

Not generally. We’re a pretty even partnership. Of course some
days I think I do it all, but I know some days he thinks he
       does. Balance and patience :)

Thank you. It is a long time, and I'm surprised that I have
stayed with him this long because of the issues we have been
having. I do want to keep working through those issues.

We aren't married but yes and he knows it. There have been some
issues recently and he is trying to correct them, but it makes
me distant from him as there always seems to be something.

Our 20th anniversary is next month. We still have lots of years
to go it's just so "cozy" that he's not as concerned with
romance and keeping our relationship fresh. He just assumes that
I'll plan something if we need a date night. Our kids are
battling mental health issues so it can take away from our
ability to have that alone time.
I'm sorry you guys have hit that place. I hope he wakes up and
starts working with you to fix things and return your marriage
       to a happy, healthy place.

I understand why you are distant from him, because U'm going
through that with my Dh. I do hope he continues to DG I is on
correcting those issues, as it definitely can and does
       negatively affect your relationship.

Happy upcoming 20th anniversary! It sounds like you have some of
the same issues in your marriage as we have in ours! My DH isn't
as focused on romance and keeping our relationship fresh as he
       once upon a time was...
And that makes me sad!! And resentful!
Thank you, I'm sorry we have gotten to this point as well!
Hopefully he will wake up and start to fix things and return out
marriage to a happy, healthy place!! And I hope the same happens
       with your DH!!
