My mom taught me both cooking and baking, and I prefer cooking.

The way I cook now, I did. I had some basics
from my parents and my g-gma but I pretty much taught myself. My
sister is the baker and I do main dishes. I make a killer
lasagna and my [glow=red,2,300]chili[/glow] could make a Texan
cry.

It's kind of a toss up between my mom, aunts, home ec class and
learning on my own. I prefer baking for sure.

I think I am probably self-taught. God love my mother, but
growing up she and Dad were always on some kind of diet. That
usually meant some nasty tasting foods for my sister and I. :P

I am not very good at baking foods such as cakes. Definitely
not skilled in decorating them. I prefer cooking, because you
get to experiment more with spices and different styles. I
don't know; maybe you can do this with baking too????
