Thankfully I have never had to deal with bullying. I brought
Bethany in to the class with her teacher and I and then let the
teacher tell us both what the issue was. Then I told Bethany
that this was her time to explain herself. Once we framed the
issue and problem, Bethany was asked what we should do about it
and how can we prevent this from happening in the future.

I have to sign Owens daily or I get a phone call, asking me to
look back and sign
Owens always good normally it's telling me someone hit him and
to let them know if marks show up. {last week a girl punched him
in the nose just because}

Only recently. DD got a warning on the school bus. A kid kicked
her, so she kicked him back. She said it happened a month ago
and it took them that long to call me about it. I can’t say that
I was surprised. I know they get busy, but a month to make a
phone call?! I did have a dialogue with DD. She’s a good girl
and I usually don’t have probs with her.

[font=andale mono]G definitely has his weeks. He has weeks
where his focus and concentration isn't there and he'll get
frustrated quicker than usual. Thankfully his teacher is really
good at trying different things out with the kids. She's also
good about keeping in touch with us so we can work on it at home
too. Right now, she's been giving him little "breaks" during
the day by letting him walk an errand to another class so he can
re-focus when he gets back to class. Next year will be
interesting though. We've heard there are 2 teachers. One is
more nurturing and the other is on the stricter, no nonsense
side. We're really hoping he gets the nurturing teacher. G
tends to shut down with negative discipline.
Did you get a note home?

Have you ever received a note (or call) from the school about
your child's behaviour?
