Box fan right now but might need to be AC soon since our
apartment is 95F and it's 82 outside

Both. Two fans in each room and AC is on most of the day for the
rest of the summer.

We use both along with the celling fan. Box fan and celling fan
while it's warm during the day but still cool during the night.
But A/C when it's hot all the time. But I don't turn it on much
mostly at night I like it hot dh does not.

Do you keep it on just to cool off the house then shut it off

We have central air. could use a fan upstairs to circulate the
air better.
