Dreamgirls!

Good morning everyone!
I won't be in today because I will be going out to watch a local
production of the Dreamgirls musical. The director and the
choreographer are friends, and it's important to support friends
especially if it means we get to enjoy a very nice evening at
the theater.
Do you like musicals? Which ones have you seen? Does your
city/town have a community theater? Do you participate/would you
like to participate?

I've enjoyed some , sound of music there was a couple more but I
would have to ask my grandmother which ones, it does :) , I

I do like musicals. But I have never been to one in my town or
any where. Unless it was a play and I don't remember which one
it was.

That’ll be so fun! I love musicals :) when I lived in so cal I
got to see some amazing productions in LA. I’m sure they have
some in Seattle but it’s such a process to get there.
I don’t know about the acting part, but I can definitely belt
out some broadway numbers :) when I was in show choir in high
school we used to put on a full concert of broadway songs. And I
like to play some phantom and les mis songs on the piano.

hope you really enjoy it!
We're not all that far from NY. My former boss used to give me
tickets for my birthday each year so I've seen a good handful.
We also have a fairly local Cabaret Theater that we've been to
many times over the years. DH's dad used to work there when DH
was growing up so he spent a lot of time there helping behind
the scenes. His dad teaches the drama department is So
California now. It's been few years since we've been there but
we have gone there quite often for shows.

I definitely agree!! I hope you have a wonderful time :-) I’m
going to hangout with some coworkers/friends too. One of the
girls got a new job and we are all celebrating.
I do really enjoy musicals! Wicked, Les Mes, Phantom of the
Opera, Grease, Footloose. I’d like to see Sound of Music live.
I believe here they do have a local theater but not sure. I’d
like to watch and cheer them on but no participating.

Such a great show! Have a fun evening :)
I love the theatre and musical theatre especially. I seen and
performed in a LOT of different shows over the years so I don't
really have 1 favorite show. But a the top of my list would be
The Sound of Music, Rent, Dreamgirls, Chicago, Hairspray and Les
Miz (really anything by Weber and Rice). Right now I'm on the
production team of a community theatre group in a town not far
from here but I haven't done a show in a couple of years thanks
to other commitments.
