Important announcement about the To-DoOS NT kernel.

---------------------------------------------------------
You may have wondered why no development updates existed for
over 6 months. We can now reveal the reason. We have been
developing a new kernel to replace the aging NT Kernel. Now,
this story starts back in February 2020.
Development was wrapping up on To-DoOS X. We decided that we
were going to start development on a new kernel, derived from
the Mcupdates kernel, which was used since the earliest
development stages of To-DoOS 1.0, then called To-Do List App.
Our reasoning behind this is that we no longer wished to use a
kernel that was, well, 3 years old. Thus what would become the
NT Kernel was born. We designed the NT kernel to be as
compatible with the old kernel as possible to ensure maximum
compatibility with previous extensions. This also meant certain
apps like the Update interface could be backported to older
releases. Now, to today. The NT kernel is still used, and is now
older than the kernel it replaced was when it was first used. We
have pushed the NT kernel and by extension its predecessor,
Mcupdates, to its limits. We have reached the limits of the NT
kernel, and as a result, we can no longer add features to it.
So, we began development on a new kernel to permanently replace
it. We can reveal that this new kernel is called, To-DoOS
Quantum. This new kernel is currently in development on a fork
of To-DoOS NT 18. This kernel is built to be expanded upon and
will allow us to continue to expand To-DoOS in the foreseeable
future and will provide us with a stable platform. Many of the
limitations of the NT kernel were due to the use of outdated
JavaScript functions, which while functional and highly
compatible with older browsers, is hard to add on to. Our new
kernel utilizes the most up to date JavaScript functions to
ensure future expandability.
Now. What will we call future releases? To-DoOS NT wouldn't be
accurate if there is no NT. So we have decided that the new
naming scheme will be To-DoOS Quantum NT
MajorVersion.MinorVersion. This acknowledges the last remnants
of the NT kernel, while acknowledging the new kernel. Now, we
can confirm that all future releases will utilise this kernel.
Now, that concludes this keynote.
