       TNA House Show Results 9.19.15
By: tnagirl Date: September 21, 2015, 8:04 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Decent crowd, lots of kids/families. No Jeremy Borash, ring
announcer is Joe Dombrowski of “Legend of Virgil and his
traveling merchandise table” fame. Referees were Brian and Earl
       Hebner alternating through the night.
Drew Galloway defeated Tyrus. Solid opener to get the crowd
going. Went outside the ring at one point, Galloway had audience
members hold Tyrus back while he got chopped. Tyrus goes up onto
the second turnbuckle but Galloway hits a powerbomb from the
corner into a running knee/kick for the pinfall.
Earl Hebner is introduced for the next match and is announced as
going in the TNA Hall of Fame.
Awesome Kong defeated Madison Rayne. Pretty standard Kong match,
Rayne gets caught with the Implant Buster for the pinfall.
       Seemed a bit short.
Mr. Anderson defeated Eli Drake in a 2/3 Falls Match. Anderson
makes his entrance but is hit from behind with a chair by Drake
who rolls him into the ring for the first fall. Drake takes too
long to celebrate, allowing Anderson to rally for a quick pin.
At 1-1, the match begins in earnest. Anderson hits the rolling
fireman carry slam and the Mic Check for the final fall. Post
match, he goes for the microphone to drop but it does not, so he
makes Dombrowski get in the ring and stand on a chair to hand a
mic down from above his head. Then as he does his typical
“Miiiiiisterrrrrrr…..” schtick, he calls himself Mr. Kennedy
before stopping abruptly, saying he’s going to be in trouble in
the back, then restarting to finish out as Anderson.
TNA World Tag Team Champions The Wolves (Davey Richards/Eddie
Edwards) defeated The Revolution (Abyss/Manik). Edwards starts
several chants including a “hall of fame” chant for Hebner. Lots
of solid action here, the Wolves eventually knock Abyss to the
outside before hitting Manik with a kick/tombstone piledriver
finisher (if it has a name, forgive me) for the pinfall.
Kurt Angle is introduced. He cuts a promo discussing his surgery
and return to the ring at Bound For Glory, promising he will be
TNA World Champion again. He is interrupted by DJZ who comes to
the ring to cut a promo on why he should be the hometown hero,
but Angle promptly attacks him and tosses him from the ring.
TNA King Of The Mountain Champion Bobby Roode defeated Tommy
Dreamer in a Steel City Chain Match. This was match of the
night. They appear to be following standard chain match rules
(touch all 6 turnbuckles) but pinfalls are also in play. The
match starts off with Roode rejecting Earl Hebner’s attempt to
strap him in the chain, instead attacking Dreamer. They brawl
all over the ring and to the outside. Dreamer grabs a fan’s beer
and spits it in Roode’s face, proclaiming “that’s old school”
which gets an “ECW” chant. Dreamer grabs the ring bell and rings
it on Roode’s crotch for a low blow. Dreamer finally wears Roode
down to the point where he can get the chain strapped on both of
them. The match is back and forth pretty evenly, several times
they get up to 4-5 turnbuckles before getting pulled away.
Dreamer hits a serious Dusty Elbow that gets the crowd chanting
“Dusty” and puts a smile on his face. Dreamer brings a chair in
but it backfires and he eats a drop toe hold to the chair.
Dreamer recovers and locks Roode in a tree of woe, laying the
chair over his face and calling out the E-C-W letters before a
dropkick to the face. Roode recovers, hitting Dreamer with the
Roode Bomb but only gets a two. He hits a second Roode Bomb on
       the chair for the pinfall.
TNA World Champion EC3 defeated Matt Hardy. EC3 comes out with
Tyrus and calls out Jeff Hardy. Hardy makes his entrance, but
EC3 tells them to cut his music. They get the big match intro
out of the way and go to work. Really fun match, all the
expected high spots and good interaction including Jeff and
Tyrus at ringside. Jeff constantly sneaks high-fives with
audience members and cheers on his brother when EC3 isn’t
looking. At one point, EC3 demands Jeff punch Matt while he’s
draped across the bottom rope, so he hits him as weakly as
possible which gets a nice laugh from the crowd. Finish sees
shenanigans with the title belt resulting in EC3 hitting the One
Percenter for the victory. Post match, Jeff and Matt drop Tyrus
and EC3 with Twist of Fates and chair shots and celebrate to
       send the crowd home happy.
I arrived after 7:00 but still had opportunities for
autographs/photos with EC3, Kurt Angle, and Matt & Jeff Hardy.
Madison Rayne came out at intermission as well. Really fun night
       with a great card!
