Jushin Liger to work more WWE shows?

Japanese wrestling legend Jushin “Thunder” Liger is expected to
work more dates for WWE after making his debut for the company
at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn this past weekend. According to the
latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an unnamed wrestling
promoter attempted to book Liger for a few upcoming shows in the
United States but was told WWE has already booked him for those
dates.
On this week’s episode of NXT, Tyler Breeze said that he’s not
done with Liger, another indication that we’ll be seeing him
back in NXT soon.
It’s possible that Liger will be working for WWE & NXT with a
deal similar to Samoa Joe’s, where he’s still able to wrestle
for other promotions (mainly New Japan Pro Wrestling).
Liger working for WWE while under contract with New Japan Pro
Wrestling is an unprecedented move for WWE and a sign that the
company is changing its mentality of working with competing
promotions. Industry insiders have observed that NJPW working
with WWE in this capacity is not a good sign for Ring of Honor,
which has been exchanging talent with New Japan over the past
several years.
