The Future Of Lucha Underground? Backstage Update

It appears as if we may not get a second season of Lucha
Underground that starts filming before the end of the year.
According to sources, the company is telling talent that they
can accept independent bookings through the end of the year.
Lucha Underground’s contracts have given the company
priority over other indy companies on booking days, which means
that it is unlikely they would tell talent to book days if they
planned to set up filming by the end of this year. There’s
been no official word on a second season, with previous reports
suggesting that it is likely to happen but that some budgetary
and other logistics need to be

Hope they do a second season. I enjoyed Lucha Undergound. It was
a good cross of Lucha style and American wrestling. Don't get to
watch NJPW, AAA or the other Mexican wrestling programing.

I don't get the contract exclusivity. With the way shows are
taped, I see no reason for them to take place. I'd imagine the
whole Hernandez mess hurt them a bit.

Yer I bet it did tbh l and I think they do deals like that just
to get the fans to watch their show
