RUMOUR: TNA MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO SIGN REY MYSTERIO JR!

TNA has reportedly made a play to sign Rey Mysterio Jr. this
past week.
Both John Gaburick and Dixie Carter talked with him and pushed
the idea that they could get his merchandise into all the stores
and open the doors for future movie and television projects.
They also mentioned that they would want to build around him as
their long-sought-after Mexican Superstar.
As an added bonuses, if he signed with them he would be able to
work anywhere he wanted on his days off.

I can see the desire. It gives them the opportunity to bring in
latin views in both South America and North America. He's
someone that could arguably do Jeff Hardy/Sting numbers for
merch, and help put over current crop latino wrestlers. On the
other hand, Rey Mysterio is also seen as old and very injured,
despite what I feel are very solid performances on his end
during this stage of his career. Bad for PR in what's been
something of a hot and cold year for them in that department.
I'd try to convince him to a trial run. See it as a opportunity
for both parties to feel each other out, without investing too
much right out the gate.
