TNA Negotiating with someone who could Shock People

TNA President Dixie Carter has apparently told several people to
expect a “major announcement” in the near future. While some may
believe that the announcement will be a new television deal for
the company, that may not be the case.
There has been some CLAIMS that TNA has been negotiating with a
talent that would reportedly “shock people.” It’s said that if
it comes to fruition, the new signing would create a buzz around
TNA, however no one seems to know who the talent is.
The person is not CM Punk or Mick Foley.

In my opinion, the only person that TNA could bring in and
create a buzz for TNA is CM Punk. I mean, who else could do that
at this point? It sure as hell wouldn't be Alberto Del Rio.
Unless someone The Rock or Batista suddenly decide to join the
ranks, but in my opinion, those are as unlikely as Punk joining.
Also, Mick Foley's buzz ability is all but used up. He's a nice
addition to the roster if he's in some kind of speaking role,
but other than that, Foley being a world champion in TNA hardly
created the buzz they were hoping for. So him returning would
fail in that regard.

A person who could shock me would be AJ Styles. Imagine him
having a shock return?

As much as I love AJ Styles, I'm not sure if he's the guy to
create that buzz. Not to say he's not valuable and couldn't
bring in money, but the buzz this article alludes has gotta be
someone much bigger. Plus, AJ Styles is contracted to New Japan
and maybe even ROH I believe. That's why I don't really believe
it. Punk is retired, TNA just got through putting a ton of money
into big names and not getting the return they wanted, there are
possible contractual issues that would prevent AJ from coming
back to begin with, and the only truly big names left in
wrestling just don't have any gas left in the tank to make the
big buzz without WWE's money. The only other incredibly unlikely
scenario is that Brock Lesnar's contract is up and has agreed to
do some stuff with TNA.
Ultimately, I just think this is just more rumor mill stuff.

TNA couldnt afford Brock. The amount he gets paid by WWE to be a
part time champion is ridiculous! Plus hes still with WWE

Oh I agree, but there are only a handful of stars who could
truly create a buzz for TNA in my opinion. They're either
retired or cost way too much.
