BREAKING NEWS!!! TNA IS MOVING

TNA today announced its flagship program, IMPACT WRESTLING, will
make a permanent move to Wednesday nights at 9/8c on SPIKE TV
beginning next Wednesday, Aug. 20.
"Moving IMPACT WRESTLING to Wednesday nights gives existing
fans and new viewers an opportunity to enjoy both wrestling and
live sports even more throughout the week," said TNA President
Dixie Carter.
IMPACT WRESTLING has enjoyed sustained ratings growth this
summer, drawing over 1.5 million viewers each week this quarter,
and is among the most watched cable series in key male demos in
its timeslot.

Preemptively getting out of the way of the SmackDown move back
to Thursdays? Sensible move.

I wonder what this means for the negotiations going down between
TNA/Spike TV. Stuff like this and their recent signings could be
see as a positive for TNA and Spike TV perhaps. Who knows for
sure, all I know is that Thursday has been bad for me watching
Impact Wrestling the past couple of weeks due to storms and
bills. So maybe this move will be better for me personally.

I had read the reason Impact Wrestling is moving to Wed. nights
is not because of Smackdown moving to Thur. but because NFL is
showing games on Thursdays this fall and TNA didn't want to
compete against the N.F.L.
