Sheriff Lonestar's PPV of the Week; The Legend of K Hall

       ---------------------------------------------------------
So this week I had hoped to bring you the Best of Super Juniors
Tournament from last year, however the video has gone missing on
youtube so that has curtailed that plan. So this week I offer
you something a wee bit different. Not about a match or
wrestlers, but about a building; Korukean Hall. It's a venue
pretty much dedicated to Boxing and Pro Wrestling and this year
it will host Bound for Glory.
Korukean Hall is part of the Tokyo Dome City complex in the
centre of Tokyo and is notable for being the home base of not
just one company but every company in Japanese wrestling. Large,
small, male and female, you will wrestle at The Hall if you work
for one of those companies. Its presence is deep set in the
Japanese wrestling culture. It only seats 1800 people but they
are some of the most spoiled for choice wrestling fans in the
world. I have watched the matches there so often I can pretty
much map out in my head where everything goes. So let's look at
some of the buildings important moments.
NOAH have been producing the goods at The Hall for a while now.
This match is for their GHC Heavyweight title between KENTA and
Takeshi Morishima. As usual this is a brutal NOAH slug fest and
has been a highlight of the year for both men.

World Wonder Ring Stardom hold all of their big cards at The
Hall and as such have been getting bigger and bigger audiences.
This one being no exception with Io Shirai defending against
Natsuki*Taiyo. Building on the foundation laid by GAEA, the
young company has built quite the rapport with The Halls
       faithful.

Women's wrestling has always gone down well at The Hall and here
LLPW offer up a big slice of violence with Shark Tsuchiya & The
Bloody vs Harley Saito & Mizuki Endo. Even reltaivley small
promotions were garunteed hot and live crowds back in the day
and they still receive a lot of that love right now.

Most importantly to The Hall's legacy is the great names it has
played host too. Here is the best example. It's Giant Baba's
30th Anniversary. Who does he call up to partner him? Abdullah
The Butcher. Of course. Their opponents? Stan "The Lariat"
Hansen and Andre The Giant. 'Cause ya know it's just another day
       at The Hall.

It is not just Japanese stars who get the warm welcome at
Kurokean either. At least one night of NJPW and CMLL's
Fantasticamania tour is held their. Japanese fans have a close
affinity with Lucha Libre and here Mistico (the new one not Sin
       Cara) takes on Averno.

They have a sense of humour too like this piece of inspired
madness from The Crush Girls in GAEA in 2002:

But we shall finish with the man who will no doubt be star of
the show at Bound for Glory, here wrestling Stone Cold Steve
Austin (when they both had hair) back in Keiji Mutoh's New Japan
       days and Steve's WCW tenure.

As you can see The Hall has everything and now TNA will try and
etch their name as part of the building's legend. Pull up your
boots boys and girls, I hope they haven't bitten off more than
       they can chew.
       Enjoy the matches.
