While I agree that younger wrestlers should take the way
forward, Mutoh is still producing great performances and keeps
himself out of the main event and down the card where belongs in
his advancing years. He has also done more for wrestling than
any currently active wrestler anywhere in the world so he can do
exactly as he pleases in my book lol.

But you was having a go about sting and hogan so you can not

No butttttt, and this is a big but. Mutoh built his legend in
the '90s for sure, just like Sting, who was a big part of that
legend, however Sting couldn't carry WCW the way that Mutoh
carried NJPW. He was a much bigger star in Japan money wise than
sting was in the US. That star quality carries over to this day.
He has also looked after himself a lot better than Hogan and
Sting, can wrestle full pace matches with much younger opponents
in singles unlike Hogan and Sting on big cards to. Only two
years ago he was in a feature match on a Tokyo Dome show. When
he joined All Japan Pro Wrestling it was in a total shambles,
they literally went from 30 world class workers to 3 over night,
and he rebuilt the roster from scratch himself with his own
investment team as president of the company, not collecting a
pay cheque for badly booking a TV show like Hogan. When his time
was up as a main event performer he used himself sparingly in
All Japan and brought himself down the card into comedy matches
and six mans and most importantly got other people over at his
own expense.
When he decided to leave AJPW, even though he did take a lot of
the roster with him, he did leave it in a far better position
than when he signed on with them. Can you say the same for Hogan
and Sting? Maybe Sting. And if Wrestle-1 fails the only person
losing money will be Keiji Mutoh, he has created Japan's fourth
major, a company in the space of sixth months from scratch,
giving more people places to work and learn their craft. This
was a one off appearance to get Sanada over with a US crowd I
doubt he will be back for a while, he has to many other pots a
boiling back home.
My problem with Hogan and Sting wasn't that they were there. It
was that they were not doing anything productive while they
where there.
