The Greatest WWE Champion Poll Round 1 Match 4
By: SheriffLonestar Date: January 26, 2014, 3:18 am
---------------------------------------------------------
So here we are final round and some heavy hitters still to come;
Pedro Morales
Often seen now as somewhat of a forgotten man in the WWE
Championship he had an incredible career. Still the longest
reigning Intercontinental Champion ever (619 days). WWE's first
triple crown champion, he held the tag belts as well, and a
1,027 day reign as WWWF Champion taking over as top baby face
from Bruno Sammartino and taking advantage of New York's heavy
latino population for his MSG filling matches. He also sold out
Shea Stadium in a Face on Face showdown with Sammartino. A
ground breaking wrestler being the first Latino to hold any of
the three major titles of his era. Long before Eddie Guererro
and Rey Mysterio.
Here he wins the title from Ivan Kollof;

Steve Austin
Podcaster, Film Star, Hunter, Pro Wrestler. The man loves it
all, and his bi weekly podcasts showcase his love of the game
that made his name. His 6 reigns and 529 days as Champion where
ground breaking and incredibly popular. Looking back it his
matches now it is incredible to see how popular he actually was
and you have to wonder if the business will ever scale such
heights again.

CM Punk
The youngest on this list and the one who made the most with the
least. Having quit the WWE in 2011 he was given the opportunity
to vent his frustrations on live television. What followed was
absolutely magical. A face turn based on pure emotion and a the
hottest crowd Chicago had seen in years and a star was born. Not
the over night success you think it is when you consider how
hard he worked to get there but with 2 reigns and 462 days as
champion, well worthy of being on our list. Here is THAT match
at Money in the Bank;

Bret Hart
The man who brought the post steroid era into the front of the
house. A stand out amateur who helped redefine Junior
Heavyweight Wrestling in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Stampede. A
tag team specialist whose feud with The British Bulldogs
redefined tag team wrestling in the WWF, and Intercontinental
Champion at the expense of the injured Curt Hennig, but who
carried it with such style and grace he could headline PPVs with
it. He took his first of five reigns and 654 days will stand the
test of time for professional delivery of the highest order. The
Man who beat the Man, here he takes on Ric Flair to win his
first title at a Video taping in Saskatoon Canada

So there you go folks last chance to vote in the first round.

Why Punk may I ask? He didn't make half as much money as Austin.
Just wondering :).

Well sorry for the lateness on this obviously a late surge for
Punk given his current predicament. He moves on to the semi
final which will be posted later.
