UK Viewing figures for January 5
   DIR By: ChrissiCalvert

       ---------------------------------------------------------
According to the Broadcasters' Audience Research Board, TNA
Impact Wrestling on January 5 2014 scored 189,000 viewers and
ranked in first place in the Challenge TV rankings for the first
airing. This number is down from the past week's 247,000 viewer
       mark.
Impact Wrestling airing on ChallengeTV for the +1 timezone
scored 30,000 viewers; Double the number of viewers for the
previous week. This brings the cumulative viewership for Impact
Wrestling on its first airing of the week to 219,000 viewers.
Down from the 262,000 viewer total for the previous week.
TNA Xplosion did not score in the top 10.

Unsurprising really, it was bloody awful. Though the previous
weeks wasn't bad, so I in one sense I am intrigued why the
numbers went down. You would have thought some one would have
tried it for two weeks running.

Because alot of fans are pissed at Magnus winning the title over
Jeff Hardy & AJ. They are even threatening to sell their tour
       tickets

I think that's the big issue they have in the long term. Their
cost cutting has meant that a lot of their top lines stars have
been down sized or removed and how is that going to affect
anything they do as a live draw. I think their UK tour will
always sell out, but its the type of fans that go that will
interest me. I also think as they go into being more of a TV
production company (it makes sense its a much more valuable
market than PPV and live gates to them, they also suck at
producing live shows) they will try and do things on the cheap
       rather than on best value.

To be honest Sigarni, I like Spud, I Like ECIII and I like
Magnus. You can't accuse Spud of having it handed to him on a
plate, the guy has worked his ass off for ten years to get where
he is and he's taken the opportunity with both hands. ECIII is
actually really good, just looking at the amount of people who
hate him is a special talent in itself and that's actually his
job, they have not had a heel this hot in a long time. So hot he
got two guys like Dewey and Norv over by accident. Magnus has
the championship aura about him, a little to light for my
tastes, but he has champion written all over him. What is the
problem is perhaps they have moved to fast in the forward push,
but then again we all complained when we said they wouldn't put
the young guys forward and now they have people are still
       complaining. Can't win I guess. . .

ok faier enough maybe spud has worked hard and i knew hes onl
acting but he dnt have be a totol div and the onlly reson magnus
does my head in is because i respected him but the way he won it
was wrong two have 7 men beat down on aj whiel he stood in the
corner and then won the pin didnt look good if hed won it the
proper way then it be diffrent but he didnt ec3 i just dnt like
im with sting on that one that he has handed it two him on a
plate plus he always cheats two win but so do most lol i used
two love the program and have watched since day one but dixi has
destroyed someting that was once awsome i really hope they form
a group that takes dixi and her followers down :)

You see there's the problem, and its what we have been saying on
here for a while. Not enough clean finishes, you have to make
Magnus believable as champion. Though my issue is the other way
why let AJ kick out of like 5 finishers and watch him sale off
into the Ring of Honor sunset?

i can see what u mean why should it work for aj i think scrap
both and make abyss champ maybe that would cause a storm or joe
or storm any of them would be better because none of them are
       dixi puppets

You will have Magnus as champ for quite some time at least until
he is established as a main event player. They need him to make
it because they need new stars and the only way you do that is
by keeping him on screen and dominant. He should be on every TV
show they can get him on right now and he should be oozing World
       Title.
