The Five; Inter Gender Classics from Japan

A new occasional series where I will put up five things for
discussion. This is a not a best of list, its just five related
things and is no way borrowed/stolen/plagiarized from The
Guardian's Joy of Six Blog which is awesome;

I know every time I post something about inter gender matches I
get a mixed response, but lets see what you think this time, we
have a lot of new members this week so I hope you get a kick out
of my research. I hard mornings work on Youtube and Daily Motion
I can tell you.
So sometimes its all fun and games. Steve Corino and Awesome
Kong have a fun match with Spanky and Saki Maermura in Zero One.

And some times it gets serious. Here Battlearts shooter Zong Ji
Ze takes on Kana in a bit of a mat clinic. This is under shoot
rules so no pin falls, just submissions, knockout or TKO to
decide the winner;

And sometimes it gets very serious indeed. Aja Kong, who really
does not care much, takes on former 2 Time Triple Crown, IWGP
Heavyweight, founder of PANCRASE, PANCRASE World Heavyweight
Champion, former Japanese Freestyle Amateur Champion, MMA record
of 7-0 and the only guy to beat Ken Shamrock in a straight up
MMA bout in Japan (and he did that twice) genuine bad ass Minoru
Suzuki.

For some reason Daily Motion only lets you post one video at
once so here is the rest of The Five;
There is no holding that Maemura down though, a few years later
she gets a new partner to take on Corino and his new partner
Rhaka Kahn in the Zero-One's Mixed Tag Wars. Corino was no
stranger to mixed tags. He once wrestled against Ayumi Kurihara
in a mixed tag and told her after the match "Hey Little Kawada
girl please stop hitting me so hard".

Stardom did a wonderful piece of comedy last year in their
Ryogku Cinderalla show. Here Kota Ibushi , Gota Ihashi , Lin
Bairon & Mayu Iwatani take on Michael Nakazawa , Hikaru Sato,
Makoto & Eri Susa. If you are going to work comedy the boys from
DDT are your men.

I am not a fan of a man hitting a girl but with that said , this
is done good. We got two good size person in the ring and it was
not just the man beating the crap out of the girl what is good
to see..
But still not a fan of it .. That's just me . I hate girls being
hit

Well you know the girls are allowed to hit back lol. and I'd
point out there are all works obviously. I think with the wider
selection see that you can see a number of ways to present it
thats believable and watchable. The key thing as in any match is
get the right workers in the right places. Someone like Corino
whose a natural comedian can work well with it. Someone like
Suzuki who is respectful of other hard cases like Aja, can put
things to one side and make a great match, because I think that
is the best of the five really.

You would not put the big show with AJ lee in a match tht would
not work bit you could put kong with let's say sting or someone
like that it is all about the person you work with when you are
doing a man vs woman

Exactly if you look at Kana vs Zong Ji Ze they are of similar
size and mat skills so even as a sporting contest, as it is
presented, it works.
