---------------------------------------------------------
Syuri faces Mia Yim in the main event on the REINA Joshi + Jam
show in the Philippines on January 25, with Syuri’s REINA World,
CMLL-REINA International and Wrestling New Classic Women’s
titles on the line.
Syuri’s the figurehead for the initiative, as she is half
Filipino. Leon, Ray and Germany’s Lady Lory have also been
announced for the event…
Hiroyo Matsumoto takes on promising teenager Yuhi at Joshi4Hope
V on March 9… Stardom’s end of year show on Sunday drew a huge
1,450 to Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The main event was World Of
Stardom Champion Io Shirai against JWP Openweight Champion Arisa
Nakajima in a title for title match – it went to a 30 minute
draw so both titleholders kept their respective belts.
There were title changes elsewhere on the card though, as Hiroyo
Matsumoto, Mayu Iwatani & Miho Wakizawa won the Artist Of
Stardom titles from Alpha Female, Kyoko Kimura and The Female
Predator “Amazon” and Natsuki*Taiyo regained the High Speed
Title from Kaori Yoneyama. Act Yasukawa successfully defended
her Wonder Of Stardom Championship against Kellie Skater…
Mask de Sun is the new Diana Queen Champion. She defeated Kyoko
Inoue on Sunday to win the title… GAMI officially retired from
pro wrestling yesterday, winning a 70 person battle royal in her
final match, eliminating Regina di WAVE Champion Yumi Ohka last.
Mikiko Futagami debuted on November 1, 1990 and wrestled for
promotions like All Japan Women, Ladies Legend Pro Wrestling,
GAEA and ARSION before co-founding WAVE in 2007 from the ashes
of JDStar alongside Ohka and former JDStar booker Tatsuya
Takeshi. Never holding a singles title, she did enjoy tag team
title reigns in ARSION, JWP and WAVE. She will continue to work
with WAVE parent company Zabun, alongside Ohka…
Both Tsukasa Fujimoto and Maki Narumiya wrestled handicap
matches on Saturday ahead of RibbonMania. Narumiya defeated Neko
Nitta & Meari Naito, while Fujimoto beat Hikaru Shida & Miyako
Matsumoto in just five seconds when she pinned Matsumoto with a
small package. Fujimoto retained the Ice Ribbon ICEx∞
Championship at RibbonMania earlier today, defeating former
titleholder Maki Narumiya. Fujimoto has wrestled more than 150
matches this year, and has not missed a single booking because
of injury.
Elsewhere on the card, Cherry won the Triangle Ribbon title from
defending titleholder Neko Nitta and fellow challenger Command
Bolshoi, and Kurumi & Kyoko Inoue became the next challengers to
Fujimoto and Hikaru Shida’s International Ribbon Tag Team
Championship, beating Tsukushi & Manami Toyota.
