A new occasional series where I will put up five things for
discussion. This is a not a best of list, its just five related
things and is no way borrowed/stolen/plagiarized from The
Guardian's Joy of Six Blog which is awesome;

Yeah I know I did one this morning however, I was just reading
through Matt Stryker's twitter feed and tonight he wrestles on
the LDN show where it looks like, given the picture Matt has
just posted, Johnny Saint will have a special announcement about
his future. The 72 year old had been wrestling sporadically in
recent years, giving seminars and dropping some knowledge on the
young folks. So what better way to give a living legend a
tribute than celebrate 5 of his greatest moments;
1. Jim Breaks and Johnny Saint change Saturday afternoons
forever;
Cup Final Day 1973, Jim Breaks defends his British Lightweight
title against the former champion Johnny Saint in front of the
biggest wrestling audience of the year. The match was technical
intense and bloody with a cracking finish;

2. Catch Weight King
As the eighties rolled into view Johnny had quite a few catch
weight contests with the big draws from the upper divisions.
Here he takes on the Belfast Bruiser and now WWE Trainer and
producer Dave Finlay;

3. World Traveler
After he retired the World Lightweight Title, a belt he held ten
times, Johnny set about semi retirement by taking on occasional
matches around the world. Here he wrestles in Naohiro Hoshikawa
for Michinoku Pro on their legendary These Days show which also
included the last ever Japanese in ring performance by The
Dynamite Kid.

4. Trainer
As a living Legend, its good to pass on to the next generation
and Johnny has been kept busy giving seminars all over the UK to
up and coming talents.

5. Chikara's Living Legend
In perhaps his most famous match at the age of 69, Johnny made
his first appearance in the United States wrestling for the
Lucha heavy Chikara match, in this video he Skyada and Mike
Quackenbusch The Masters of a Thousand Holds take on Claudio
Castignoli (better know to you as Antonio Cesaro), WWE trainer
Dave Taylor and Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan to you fella, you
know WWE Champion, World Champion, Best in the World etc). In of
all places that little old Bingo Hall on Ritner and Swanson in
South Philadelphia The ECW Arena.
