My guess that all the Hogan bashers weren't any of those fans
that clamored to Hogan when he was champion during the comic
book era of WWE. They probably hated Hogan all of his career. I
didn't like Hogan during his WWE days because of the cartoon
character he portrayed and how everything was about Hogan during
that time. Through the years I still don't think Hogan was that
good of a wrestler but he was a very good showman to make all
the young fans want to see him or get close to him. Now just
like a typical wrestling fan you have the people that despises
Hogan just because of his age. It's like liking a wrestler when
he's a face but as soon as he turns heel then the same fan will
boo that wrestler or they will boo the wrestler when he's a
villain then as soon as he turns on the other heels and becomes
a face then all of a sudden you jump onto his bandwagon. It's
because of Hogan and McMahon that has put pro wrestling into the
limelight or prime time programing on television but now that
He's an old wrestler you want to hate him. He's still a bigger
draw than Cena, Punk, Rock, Sting, and all the other big names
of today's wrestling. I will agree that he should not step into
the ring for another match and all this hype of him possibly
going up against Undertaker at WM 30 would be a big mistake
because this has already been done 20 years ago. Why do this
match again if it's already been done?
. The way I look at guys and girls In the wreslting
world is not what they have done but what they are doing now ..
Hogan has a big ego and he can not back it up .
Ooh at the rock , y2j And the other guys who come back when ever
they want to WWE . Love them or hate them they can still put n a
good match sting can still go to (just about).
The reason I do not like hogan s because of the way he treats
the younger stars look at what he did to Roode . When he was
meant to win his first world belt ( BFG vs kurt ) hogan was the
reason he did not get the championship because hogan said he was
not ready and things. That is not how to make a star and he lets
his ego takes over way to much.. Look at the matches he has had
in TNA e,g the one vs sting he could not go and that made sting
look poor to .. If he can not put on a good match with sting who
is in his 50ths how the hell is he going to go to WWE where the
roster are a lot fitter and work 75% of the year . Look at RVD
now he is back in WWE he looked in better shape and had better
matches ..
The point I am trying to make is hogans ego is to much . He
wants to faces punk that would kill punk if that ever happened
because he is a top star in WWE and he would have to slow down
and not do 80% of the moves he does ..
At the end of the day you have got to give hogan props for what
he did in the past but that was when he was younger and in
better shape ..
I also felt that he see TNA just for the money and TV time. He
was more than happy to take a slot on BFG vs sting when that
could of been a better match also when he got in the ring on
impact he had to have the main event or the match before it .
Also he did 10/20 mins promos over nothing that time could of
been used better to get AA , Roode , Anderson hell bully ray
over as a heel as they are all good on the mic . Or we could of
had more of Kenny king on the mic . Hogan changed way to much
to fast from the way the ring looked to the roster it was taking
away all of what TNA was. He got rid of kong because of some
crap happened with his mate and her .. Kong helped make TNA and
changed the way you looked at the knockouts ..
Then he was bring in some good stars like ric yes that was a
good move on a short deal he could of helped get Roode or a heel
over , but again they wasted it on AJ who did not need a ric to
push him to the top because he is their on his own.. Then you
have him ring in scot , Nash who just hate on TNA bit yet still
gets a JOb there then he had the nasty boys . All that wast of
big money and TV time.,
Sting is happy to step back but for some reason hogan is not .
He wants to be a main eventer and the only place he could do
that and ave a big match is TNa because they are happy to let
him walk all over them and do what he likes.. WWe will tell him
how it is , you will be on a short deal and this is the only
match you will have and it will not be with a top star or the
main event slot what would of hurt his ego a lot ..
For me this pic is just him playing the games.
It takes a lot for me to go off n one lol ;)
I agree that Hogan took up a lot of "dead" space on TNA
that could have been used to show matches. Then again the idea
of pro wrestling today is not to show matches on television but
to put over the stupid story lines. Like an article I read about
WWE they show approx. 1 hour of actual wrestling on RAW out of a
three our program. That is because the other 2/3 of the show is
commercials (no complaint), story lines (big complaint), and
recapping what happened in the previous matches (again big
complaint). They could use some of that time to show more
wrestling stars wrestle. I would like to see the breakdown of a
2 hour TNA program of what the percentage of actual wrestling is
provided. Like I've said I don't want to see Hogan wrestle
anymore, it's like watching Ric Flair wrestle today. They are
nothing but a shell of what they used to be. Both TNA and WWE
needs to promote more in ring action without the likes of Hogan
or Flair with their 10-20 min talks.

My point about the Hogan bashers are the same people that rooted
for Hogan back in his prime. If you loved him then why can't you
love him now? What has changed your view on Hogan through the
years?

I liked Hogan as a kid, he was a spell binding presence, my
issue with him now is unlike other elder men of the profession,
Terry Funk for example, he never got out of the way for anyone
else. He hasn't just done this now, he has ALWAYS done it. The
original plan for Wrestlemania 6 was for Hogan to sidle off into
the sunset after dropping the belt to Warrior, but no he had to
come into the ring (unscripted I might add) to get a little rub
from The Warrior. Now quite frankly The Warrior was a waste of
space, but he still went into business for himself when it
wasn't good for business.
He hasn't improved his ways much since. If you look at what
Terry Funk did for ECW, FMW, and IWA in his waning years he said
"Oh I can make him, give me Tommy Dreamer, I'll do something
special with him, give me Atushi Ohnita and I'll make him a
star." Hogan never did that, nor would he be inclined to.

With Hogan gone from TNA it will be interesting what direction
TNA will now turn. This Dixie Carter heel turn makes as much
sense as the old saying "tits on a bore". This just doesn't make
sense to copy your competitors moves. Also if WM XXX does main
event Hogan vs. Undertaker, it will not thrill me at all. To me
it would be a far worse of a move than bringing Rock or Lesner
back in just for the one match. If they really want to make a
good WM XXX event even though what I mentioned about Lesner,
have Lesner go up against Undertaker. Don't know what would
happen in a controlled situation like pro wrestling but from
what I've seen of Lesner and what I've seen of Undertaker,
Lesner would tear him apart in real life.

Lesnar pay tear him apart in a wrestling match to, he isn't
exactly dainty. A better opponent for 'Taker and for that matter
Hogan is Dean Ambrose, or Antonio Cesaro, or anyone on the
roster that can look after themselves and not lose to much in
the long run.
