you know what I mean mate lol..
At the end of the day you can not live off the past WCW or ECW .
Sometimes you have to make a new brand ( NXT) and make your own
new EWC or WCW ..

Thats the thing, the true Legacy of ECW was Paulies ability to
make stars. Hide the negatives, push the positives. The
presentation was revolutionary, but was of its time. The later
cards where they had more production values hold up well to
todays product but the early stuff in the Bingo hall doesn't
really. They where breaking new ground with their edgy content
but there is only so much you can make of that, eventually you
find the edge of the envelope.
The really key element than NXT does so well was bringing out
the best in people. Half those guys would not have been stars
anyone else. Taz, Raven and Sandman especially. Probably the
Dudley's to. They just would not have got the opportunities else
where because they where not the right look or the right style.
You look at a guy like Bray Wyatt, he would not be seen as money
material if it wasn't for Bubba Ray. You take a guy like Daniel
Bryan or CM Punk he wouldn't have got to WWE, if Eddie Geurerro,
Rey, Dean Malenko, Benoit and Jericho hadn't proven that smaller
guys could draw.

. That is very true ECW helped WWF out a lot to it made them
think , smaller guys can bring in money and they do not need to
be 7ft powerhouses ..
NXT brings in a mix of young guys working with the WWE stars.
Every show we see one big WWE star on the show and they will
have a good match with me of the young one... This week we sew a
2 out of 3 match what got the younger NXT star over...

Oh and the truth is ECW did get a lot of negative feedback
because of all the matches they use to have and the new ground
they was breaking to.

Cesaro and Sami Zayn? They been wrestling each other for ten
years, it would be difficult for them not to have a bad match,
but that is kind of the point. Look how many stars NXT has made
this year, and look how many TNA has done in the last ten.
I don't disagree there was some negativity to ECW, but then you
can't make an omelette without breaking eggs, and ECW as after
remaking the US wrestling industry.

Yer that is very true but how much money has WWe spent in making
them starts ??? I bet it is more than TNa have got for impact
the .. WWe are playing with crazy money and can make who they
want as fast as they want...

They have better production true, but NXT is a one venue show,
just like Impact was for the last ten years. So it hasn't cost
that much.

A good point well made, guys in WWE who look like they are going
to make it get called up from FCW to NXT, tried out kinks sorted
and then they are on the roster when a slot opens up. That's
what they've done with Cesaro, The Shield and The Brays. If it
works it goes on TV. OVW seems to be a holding place for
wrestlers they don't know what to do with.
