Diamon Ring Announce Major Card and matches
By: SheriffLonestar Date: August 12, 2013, 2:12 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Kensuke Sasaki held a public press conference to announce the
headlining match for the upcoming DIAMOND RING show on August
31st.
Kensuke Sasaki will be teaming with All Japan/Burning’s Jun
Akiyama and Go Shiozaki as they take on one of Sasaki’s “former”
protege’s in Kento Miyahara, now affiliated with VooDoo MURDERS,
and his partners in All Japan’s Suwama and Takao Omori.
Sasaki stated that this match could produce any number of
outcomes and Sasaki was noted to be “shaking with anticipation”
for the match.
Miyahara appeared as well with his fellow VooDoo MURDER members
to state that when he beats Jun Akiyama, that Akiyama will be
forced to retire. Of course Miayahara and Akiyama have met a few
times previously in Pro Wreslting NOAH and ever since joining
the MURDERS Miyahara has been looking to push himself to an even
greater level.
Below is the updated card at this time.
DIAMOND RING “SUMMER DREAM 2013”, 8/31/2013 [Sat] 18:00 @
Korakuen Hall in Tokyo Japan
Previously Announced:
(-) Katsuhiko Nakajima & Kota Ibushi [DDT] vs. Yoshinobu
Kanamaru [AJP] & Kotaro Suzuki [AJP]
Newly Announced:
(-) 6 Man Tag Match: Kensuke Sasaki, Jun Akiyama [AJP] & Go
Shiozaki [AJP] vs. Kento Miyahara [VooDoo MURDERS], Suwama [AJP]
& Takao Omori [AJP]
This is an interesting development. For those of you who do not
know, Diamond Ring is the equivalent of OVW in Japan, the last
stop before a major promotion. Previously Sasaki (owner of
Diamond Ring) worked with NOAH, but with his long time friend
Kenat Kobahsi leaving to work with All Japan, and his other long
time friend Keiji Mutoh leaving All Japan to form Wrestle 1 and
taking half the roster with him, Sasaki would be well placed to
form a long term relationship with All Japan Pro Wrestling.
