TNA Producer Praises Total Divas

TNA’s Executive Producer Eric Bischoff has tweeted his opinions
on WWE’s new reality show, Total Divas.
The show, which airs on the E! network, garnered praise from
Eric, who worked in the WWE from 2002 to 2007. He tweeted that
producing the show is “smart” and will help grow the WWE brand:
Eric Bischoff ✔ @EBischoff
Had a chance to check out Total Divas on E! via TiVo. Props to
WWE (Kevin Dunn). Basic "Kardashian" format, but will grow the
brand! Smart!
Growing the brand it certainly has! Total Divas‘s first episode
was watched by 1.3 million people, with the replay that aired
the very next night after Raw doing even better, picking up 1.5
million viewers.
Making a Divas reality show was definitely a controversial move,
but as Eric Bischoff will tell you, controversy creates cash!

I think they draw in a different audience, which is good for any
company. Dunn is the master of that and finding the mainstream
pulse. I don't agree with everything he wants to do because as
Jim Cornette has said over and over again, he hates wrestling,
he doesn't even like calling it wrestling, he wants to win an
Emmy and make great TV, he feels wrestling won't do that so he
tries to call it something else. I think you need his vision
though, there is nothing wrong with winning Emmy's. Which is why
the WWE is successful, you have guys like Dunn pulling in one
direction and guys like Michael Hayes pulling in the wrestling
direction an overall view gives you the full WWE vision.
