All-Japan Pro Wrestling teaming up with TNA?
By: tnafanforum Date: July 26, 2013, 11:23 am

Tokyo Sports recently interviewed former All-Japan Pro Wrestling
President The Great Muta concerning his defection along with
nearly half of the All-Japan roster to form a new promotion
currently called W-1. In the interview, Muta reveals that he
will be in discussion with a major promotion concerning a
working relationship. He was quoted as saying:
" A famous promotion overseas asked me to ally. I will be going
there to talk."
Some longtime TNA fans may recall, Muta was actually in active
negotiations with TNA back in 2007 to have a talent exchange
with All-Japan and even made a brief appearance at TNA's
Destination X pay per view pre-show. TNA instead opted to form a
brief talent exchange with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
So do you think this will be a good move for both sides or not ?
Have your say and tell us what you think

I think the bigger issue is All Japan losing over half its
roster. Again. for the second time in 15 years. They saved it
before so hopefully they can do it again, but that puts a fourth
big promotion in play in Japan.
It depends on who they got to W-1 if its the top half of the
roster then yes it gives much more variation and opens up many
new markets.

Pit be a good move for TNA to get any deal with a big Japan
brand tbh because they can put on some of the best matches I
have sew.. But TNA will have to give them something back , not
just take like last time..

See what happens, though I would have thought NOAH would have
been the obvious choice as they are both on the same network in
Japan.
if they are on the same network the network people will
want them to team up to. So yer they will be a good one to tag
with I guess..
But I think NJ has got some big stars their too.

New Japan does but it doesn't need TNA it ran a USA tour last
year and got decent house shows for a new company (around the
same as TNA attendance). Having said that NOAH are in a group
with ROH so it would be hard for them to crossover.
TNA are not dry good at getting other brands and
keeping the, .
Just look at the way AAA and NWA went with them.. They all fell
out ... As for ROH working with NOAH I could see they going to
a TNA just because they have bigger TV stars ...

The link between NOAH and ROH is multi leveled with many
different promotions so it would be hard to break that link
without upsetting a lot of folks, thus costing them money back
home so probably not.
