You can't just say that otherwise its a cartoon!
There has to be rules, you have to obey real life to a degree.
Thats why the WWE All Stars game is only fun for a limited time,
       everyone is too evenly matched.
The whole point of wrestling is triumph over adversity, its
theatre. Bad buys beat superior good guys, aging guys get beat
up by younger guys then come back to show that they've still got
it. You can't have a promotion where everyone just goes out and
has a 45 minute beat down week after week its not realistic. It
       needs to obey real life.
The rules need establishing before people go out and start
writing. It needs to be within a framework
[/quote] that is a good point mate yer have them how their are
now then it be more real then..

Have your wrestlers as they are now. You don't need to have
retired wrestlers working if you don't want to. I was kind of
wanting Bret Hart to be my GM!

Just to pipe in! Surely its up to the shows writer what 'prime'
the guys/gals are in when they show up? But if I could work out
a filming technique for getting footage from wwe 12 I could put
on a show through that quite easily! Would be awesome! But have
to agree its a mighty task! Looking very much forward to seeing
the results of this! Got me thinking of doing a wwe 12 or 13
fight nights! Where we bulid storylines on the forums and use
the games to wrestle it out! Could use created wrestlers or the
wwes. I know ive got alot of tna plus a few independents on
mine. Only problem only the participants could see the action
unless we have a recording function.

a point but it would be good for the people who are going to
attempt this to have some parameters to work around before they
       go into this.
The idea of having a locker room of three dozen
top-of-their-game athletes sounds good but actually is it? Its
not as interesting as it sounds. Real wrestling drama is made
from the storylines not two or four guys pounding each other
       relentlessly for 30 minutes.

Do you want to extend the joining in deadline and we can all
hammer out the rules? It's yours too. I want everyone to be
happy and comfortable with what they are doing.

I just think that there should be some set parameters for
everyone to work around. The joining in deadline is a moot
point. What is important is that everyone is working to same
guidelines. That way we can have invasions and people can
actually interact with other peoples promotions. Obviously thats
not going to work if two people have the same wrestler because
the universe will collapse! But it makes it more realistic and
more user friendly is everyone obeys the same set of "laws".
Its the same with anything. When you read comics the Marvel and
DC universes all have the same laws throughout all of the comics
that way you can have collaborations. So the X-Men can team up
with Spider-Man and Superman can team up with Batman.
As for the whole thing about people being in their prime, if you
think about it you never choose a whole squad of people in their
prime. The closest analogy I can think of is football. In
international football a manager should pick the squad that is
in its prime because they are fittest and can go hardest but he
doesn't. He picks a mixture of players, he picks the up and
comers who are exciting the crowd, the old stagers who he knows
he can rely on, the seasoned veteran who he knows has always
done a good job, the fan favourite, the poster boy the sponsors
love, the reliable but unflashy midfield holding player who will
get the job done so others can look good. Even when you pick a
fantasy team you don't pick a bunch of 25-28 year olds and not
just because of budget restrictions its because it just wouldn't
       work.
Its the same here, you can't have a bunch of wrestlers all at
their peak it just wouldn't work. A wrestling show isn't just
about fighting. Its about the drama. If you want fighting then
you may as well watch boxing or MMA. To write this thing and do
it well, you need to handle the human element of it just as
well, if not better than the superhuman and think about how
you're going to make these wrestlers work together. Don't forget
they're not just meatheads, most of them are really good actors
as well. Look at Eric Young for example.
I know i'm probably going on too much about this but the idea
excites me, the writing at TNA is awful most of the time, the
writing at WCW pretty much killed it, the writing at WWE is
nonsensical most of the time, its too easy to make sure yours is
the same. Lets avoid that and be great

That's what I am saying, we should discuss these parameters and
decide what we want. I'll edit my post and take the joining date
out. Once we agree on everything then we can get the ball
       rolling.

Its your baby. Don't feel as though you have to listen to me.
Its just my opinion. You can do whatever you like. Maybe throw
it open to democracy and put a poll up and see what people
think? People might want to go their own way. They might like
       the idea of that.

I wouldn't know what to put in a poll! I think people can just
have their own show and just do what works for them. For example
tif you want to have Bobby Roode as an opener and build him up
to main event level then go for it. If you want to take Eric
Young and make you're main eventer, do it. At the end of the
day, it's your use whoever you want to use, put them at whatever
spots you want them to be in, what happens is entirely up to
you. You have complete creative control. It's your show so roll
with and do what works best for you.
