       Write Your Own Shows!
By: RoodeAwakening Date: August 17, 2012, 5:58 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Hey folks,
I had an idea which I have taken part in before on other forums.
It works well and can be very entertaining. The idea is to
create your own wrestling promotion. It can't be WWE, TNA, RoH
or any other form of established promotion. Same with ECW and
WCW. You can use anyone on the WWE, TNA, RoH or any other
promotion's roster, British wrestlers too if you like. You can
use wrestlers that have retired but please don't use wrestlers
that have died. You can call your show and promotion whatever
you like. Just not infringing on copyrights. So no Smackdown,
Raw, Impact etc. You can have a set venue. You can use anywhere
you like but if you want to use the Orlando Studios, don't call
your venue the Impact Zone. I wouldn't like anyone getting sued!
You can be your own general manager or you can make someone up
or pick any wrestler you see fit. Ring announcers and (if you
want them) commentators can have the same as GM applied to it.
Again please don't use anyone that's died!
You can hold shows weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Whichever you
prefer and have time for. All you need to do is submit your
roster, how often you want to write your shows and promotion
name in this thread before 31st August. I pick that date because
it gives everyone roughly a fortnight to have a think and I go
on holiday on the 24th and come back on the 31st. I don't think
there should be a limit on the number of wrestlers. However many
workers you are comfortable with is fine.
You can ask for feedback on your shows. If it's okay with admin
team, I think we should have separate threads for shows and
promotions. It means everyone has their own place for posting
and receiving feedback. It saves confusion and everything
       getting muddled.
If you wish to join in after the deadline then please let me
know in here. Remember there will probably be under 18s on the
forum so please mind your language and content!
       Thanks
       Nic

Just so i'm clear on this. What you're actually asking people to
do is write the storylines for a promotion but not actually plan
       out the matches?

No she is asking you to do it all it will be your show so you
can make the matches. And storylines

The whole show! Write matches, storylines, promos, vignettes.
Whatever you want your show to be. :)

Thats a huge ask! Thats like maybe 5-10 hours of writing a week
       maybe more

You don't have to write it every week. It can be fortnightly. I
personally am going with monthly. I couldn't write it every
week. It would be a lot of rubbish if I did!

I think monthly is an easier option. But the option is there if
anyone wants to write weekly or fortnightly.

Weekly would be if two or more were collaborating. Don't forget
WWE has teams of writers and they get continuity wrong all the
time. TNA uses most of their locker room incorrectly. The
challenge isn't can you write a good show, the challenge is can
you write an interesting show and keep people interested in the
locker room and keep the whole locker room involved and
consistently engaging. Its a hard thing to do
