Jay Briscoe's Opponent for Best in the World iPPV Confirmed
By: tnafanforum Date: May 19, 2013, 5:27 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was announced on this weekend's episode of Ring of Honor TV
that Jay Briscoe will defend the ROH World Heavyweight
Championship against his brother Mark, at the upcoming Best in
       the World iPPV.
As usual, ROH has named several contenders to the World title
well in advance, so the Championship picture can get a little
hard to decipher. Currently, Mark Briscoe is the next in line
for a title shot against his brother.

Jay and Mark had an excellent best of 7 series in the early days
of ROH, should that should be a barn burner.

Nah not gonna happen Mark is good but not that good. I doubt Jay
was going to keep it long anyways, but I would probably see it
going to someone else in the near future.

I don't think Jay was a long term champ, I just think they
wanted to move ind a different direction from Kevin Steen.

Artistically I think he was but he wasn't the draw they where
expecting. There was also a general booking malaise, the fans
felt the company wasn't as good as it was. As Steen was Jim
Cornette's booking decision I think that Delirious wanted to go
       in a different direction.

Steen is awesome, and one of the best going on the mic. If The
Rock thinks you are good on the mic you are.
