They did do that. Jay offfered to pay the charity contribution
voluntarily as far as we know. Now Robert, I will say this. If
Jay was so anti gay marriage why didn't he raise funds for a
candidate? Or start a petition? He may may have done, but he
gave on reasoned debate by using violence in his message. Which
maybe be fine by you, but being a teacher who believes in gay
rights, that means he threatened to shoot me. Your saying I
shouldn't be offended by a guy I've never met but greatly admire
threatens to kill me for my opinion? I know I'm being a little
obtuse here, but the fact still remains he threatened people
with violence. I have lots of friends who don't believe in gay
marriage, not one of them ever threatened me with violence. They
used reasoned debate.

Just one other thing, while some people call it political
correctness, I call it manners and being polite.

The only thing that I will say is a repeat of one statement I
made. A person who doesn't believe in gay marriages is being
condemned by the world just because they are against this
subject but a person who accepts gay marriages is praised
because this is what the world wants to hear. Should gays have
equal rights, I would have to say yes they should but do I feel
it's morally right then I would have to say no to moral rights.
Yes there are people in this world that still have morals unlike
popular belief. Now the statement of violence is uncalled for
because nobody should have that right to threaten anyone just
because of their belief, but this isn't how the world thinks.

And my point is Robert that I have zero problem, none, nada, zip
with Jay or anyone else being anti gay marriage. That is their
opinion I am fine with that, thats cool. They can speak on the
subject as much as they like, hold rallies, run campaigns and
hell the can hold one in my front room. So long as they use
reasoned and factual debate to further their argument.
I think you will find that majority of people have morals, I do,
I like to think anyway.
