Military Gamers
The
Legion Gaming Network
CONSTITUTION/BYLAWS
PREAMBLE
The following document shall be deemed the official bylaws of
The Legion Gaming Network a partner and branch of the Military
Gaming Network. When the branch is mentioned it is understood to
be referring to The Legion Gaming Network. When the
organization in its entirety is mentioned in these Bylaws, it is
understood to be referring to The Legion Gaming Network as a
separate operating entity. ‘Board of Directors’ refers to the
Executive Committee of officers of The Legion Gaming branch of
The Military Gaming Network. When any offices (e.g. Chief
Director, Commissioner) are mentioned, it is referring to the
officers of The Legion Gaming Network, unless otherwise stated.
ARTICLE I: NAME
1.
Network (TLGN).
ARTICLE II: PURPOSE
1.

network of gamers that fosters the integration for current
service members, and veterans of military service to become
informed, contributing part of the international gaming industry
while simultaneously building camaraderie, providing continued
professional & leadership development, providing services for
veteran organizations, and participating in the competitive
gaming market.
ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP
1.

ARTICLE IV: OFFICERS
The officers of this organization shall be:

the organization shall be the responsibility of the Chief
Information Officer. Admin accessibility to online accounts
(short-term or long-term access) for anyone besides the
Webmaster shall only be granted upon the unanimous approval of
the Chief Information Officer, President, and Vice-President.
d.
for events to the organization. Event Coordinator shall be
responsible for presenting at least three options per area of
focus (total of nine event options) for the organization to vote
on. The organization will vote for at least one event per focus
area.
Focus Areas are as follows, in no particular order:
1.) Gaming Competitions
2.) Social/Entertainment
3.) Gaming Conventions
Event Coordinator is responsible for organizing and promoting
events held by TLGN. Additionally, budgeting shall be the
responsibility of the Event Coordinator.

seeking potential sponsors, and advertisement for TLGN.
ARTICLE V: MEETINGS

ARTICLE VII: COMMUNITY CODE OF CONDUCT
The Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
known as Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network and its employees must, at all time, comply with all
applicable laws and regulations. The Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network will not condone the
activities of employees who achieve results through violation of
the law or unethical business dealings. This includes any
payments for illegal acts, indirect contributions, rebates, and
bribery. The Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion
Gaming Network will not permit any activity that fails to stand
the closest possible public scrutiny. All business conduct
should be well above the minimum standards required by law.
Accordingly, employees must ensure that their actions cannot be
interpreted as being, in any way, in contravention of the laws
and regulations governing the Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network’s operations. Employees
uncertain about the application or interpretation of any legal
requirements should refer the matter to their supervisor or,
who, if necessary, should seek appropriate legal advice.
All members are expected to adhere, and follow this established
code of conduct. Failure to comply can result to suspension,
termination and/or permanent ban from the Organization.
Member expectations are as follows:

ARTICLE VIII: EMPLOYEE CODE OF CONDUCT
1.
This document is intended to assist
in providing guidance in establishing and enforcing structured
governance that can be used Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network wide as a code of conduct to
counteract activities or behaviors that are unethical a moral or
illegal. The standards and rules that are established herein are
to be followed verbatim, which for all intents and purposes
should be considered an enforced as law. All subjects contained
are adaptable to change through assessment of the needs of the
Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network
as it grows or as unforeseen/special circumstances arise or are
identified among personnel, business markets or dealings to
include partnerships and external agreements. Within this code
of conduct are definitions of what is considered unacceptable
and the consequences of any breaches thereof by any member that
is an active director/senior leadership, employee, member or
otherwise participant functioning under Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network.
2.
The Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network expect its employees to conduct themselves in a
businesslike manner during events or direct activities.
Drinking, gambling, fighting, swearing, and similar
unprofessional activities are strictly prohibited while on the
job. Employees must not engage in sexual harassment, or conduct
themselves in a way that could be construed as such, for
example, by using inappropriate language, keeping or posting
inappropriate materials in their work area, or accessing
inappropriate materials on their computer.
3.
The Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network expect that employees will perform their duties
conscientiously, honestly, and in accordance with the best
interests of the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion
Gaming Network. Employees must not use their positions or the
knowledge gained as a result of their positions for private or
personal advantage. Regardless of the circumstances, if
employees sense that a course of action they have pursued, or
are presently pursuing, or are contemplating pursuing may
involve them in a conflict of interest with their employer, they
should immediately communicate all the facts to their
supervisor.
4.
All employees share a serious responsibility for the Veteran
Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network’s good
public relations, especially at the community level. Their
readiness to help with religious, charitable, educational, and
civic activities brings credit to the Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network and is encouraged.
Employees must, however, avoid acquiring any business interest
or participating in any other activity outside the Veteran
Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network that
would, or would appear to:
a.
thus depriving the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network Gaming Network of their best efforts on
the job.
b.
distraction - that may interfere with the independent exercise
of judgment in the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network’s best interest.
5.
Employees should avoid investing in or acquiring a financial
interest for their own accounts in any business Veteran Service
and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network that has a
contractual relationship with the Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network, or that provides goods or
services, or both, to the Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network if such investment or
interest could influence or create the impression of influencing
their decisions in the performance of their duties on behalf of
the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network.
6.
Employees must not accept entertainment, gifts, or personal
favors that could, in anyway, influence, or appear to influence,
business decisions in favor of any person or Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network with whom or with
which the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network has, or is likely to have business dealings. Similarly,
employees must not accept any other preferential treatment under
these circumstances because their positions with the Veteran
Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network might be
inclined to, or be perceived to, place them under obligation to
return the preferential treatment.
7.
Regarding the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion
Gaming Network’s business activities, employees may not receive
payment or compensation of any kind, except as authorized under
the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network’s business and payroll policies. In particular, the
Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network
strictly prohibit the acceptance of kickbacks and secret
commissions from suppliers or others. Any breach of this rule
will result in immediate termination and prosecution to the
fullest extent of the law.
8.
Network Funds and Other Assets:
Employees who have access to Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network funds in any form must follow
the prescribed procedures for recording, handling, and
protecting money as detailed in the Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network’s policies and procedures or
other explanatory materials, or both. The Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network impose strict
standards to prevent fraud and dishonesty. If employees become
aware of any evidence of fraud and dishonesty, they should
immediately advise their supervisor or seek appropriate legal
guidance so that the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network can promptly investigate further. When an
employee’s position requires spending Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network funds or incurring
any reimbursable personal expenses, that individual must use
good judgment on the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network’s behalf to ensure that good value is
received for every expenditure. Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network funds and all other assets of
the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network are purposed for the Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network only and not for personal
benefit. This includes the personal use of Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network assets, such as
computers, network appliances, websites or any social media
containing or portraying the organization.
9.
Network and Communications:
Accurate and reliable records of many kinds are necessary to
meet the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network’s legal and financial obligations and to manage the
affairs of the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion
Gaming Network. The Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network’s books and records must reflect in an
accurate and timely manner all business transactions. The
employees responsible for accounting and recordkeeping must
fully disclose and record all assets, liabilities, or both, and
must exercise diligence in enforcing these requirements.
Employees must not make or engage in any false record or
communication of any kind, whether internal or external,
including but not limited to:
a.
reports and statements
b.
misleading representations
10.
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network:
Employees must take care to separate their personal roles from
their Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming
Network positions when communicating on matters not involving
Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network
business. Employees must not use Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network identification, stationery,
supplies, and equipment for personal or political matters. When
communicating publicly on matters that involve Veteran Service
and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network business,
employees
Must not presume to speak for the Veteran Service and Support
Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network on any topic, unless they are
certain that
The views they express are those of the Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network, and it is the
Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network’s
desire. Those views are publicly disseminated. When dealing with
anyone outside the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network, including public officials, employees
must take care not to compromise the integrity or damage the
reputation of the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network, or any outside individual, business, or
government body.
11.
In all matters relevant to customers, suppliers, government
authorities, the public and others in the Veteran Service and
Support Alliance/The Legion Gaming Network, all employees must
make every effort to achieve complete, accurate, and timely
communications - responding promptly and courteously to all
proper requests for information and to all complaints.
12.
When handling financial and personal information about customers
or others with whom the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network has dealings, observe the following
principles:
a.
necessary for the Veteran Service and Support Alliance/The
Legion Gaming Network’s business. Whenever possible, obtain any
relevant information directly from the person concerned. Use
only reputable and reliable sources to supplement this
information.

required by law. Protect the physical security of this
information.

only personal information for the purposes for which it was
originally obtained. Obtain the consent of the person concerned
before externally disclosing any personal information, unless
legal process or contractual obligation provides otherwise.
ARTICLE VIIII: DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
1. All members are expected to adhere to the rules and policies
established by the board of directors. Officers and board
members are held to a higher standard and if at anytime the
Chief Director feels the need to relieve an officer he/she may
do so depending on the severity of the case. Disciplinary
actions are as follows:
1st degree
a.
offense occurs.
b.
2nd degree
a.
will be deactivated for this period and they will not be allowed
on voice chat, to participate in games with other members, take
advantage of benefits, etc.
b.
c.
(depending on severity of the case).
3rd degree
a.
offense, and the offender may be dismissed from the community
permanently.
b.
-
will be deactivated for this period and they will not be allowed
on voice chat, to participate in games with other members, take
advantage of benefits, etc.

c.
4th degree
a. All offenders at this degree will be dismissed from the
community permanently.
ARTICLE X: AMENDMENTS
1.
meeting by the Board of Directors attended by a quorum. In order
to be adopted, the amendments must receive an affirmative vote
of two-thirds (2/3) of those present and voting at the next
scheduled meeting attended by a quorum.
2.
a special meeting. In such cases, the proposed amendments shall
be posted as part of the call of the special meeting (See
Article 5, Section 7) and may be voted upon at that meeting.

subordinate to these Bylaws. Any motions of resolutions
contradictory with these Bylaws shall be null and void.

shall appoint a Committee to review and update these Bylaws.

to these Bylaws. Standing policy can be amended at any regular
board meeting attended by a quorum by a simple majority vote,
unless otherwise stated in these Bylaws. Once adopted by the
organization, a standing policy shall remain in effect until
rescinded or altered by the board.
